Dave...
Ann,

Further to your question: To clarify the apparently side-tracked discussion of installing JAWS on both machines, Citrix, etc. When you have VPN installed on your machine for the purpose of gaining a connection to your work from home, all you need is your network logon name and either a static VPN numeric password, or one that is generated using the SoftID token. JAWS can read the temporary VPN login dialog. Once connected to your work server, JAWS reads just like any other internet connection. VPN *does not* rely on a pure graphical transfer of a remote desktop, as is done with WebEx, PC Anywhere, or other remote desktop sharing applications. VPN is jut a high-security password-protected Internet connection. Dave Carlson Sent from my Dell Latitude E6520 using Windows 7, San Francisco Bay Area

When you use Remote Desktop or Citrix to connect to a remote stand-alone computer or, a server controlling a network or a server, which is part of a network, you have to know the username and password for your account on that remote computer or server, in order to gain access to the remote system or network server. I have just finished talking to someone at FS Tech Support. They confirmed what I had written in my previous reply on this thread, that is, If you are connecting to a remote computer, regardless as to whether it is a stand-alone computer or a server computer, running a network with other computers connected to it, through Remote Desktop or Citrix, you need a copy of JAWS installed on both the local and remote computers. In addition you also need FS's Remote Access installed on the local computer. HTH Sincerely: Dave Durber

Express Burn Query
Marvin Hunkin <startrekcafe@...>
hi.
i have a jvc boom box, and it can play mp3s, and a cd player. next to my enduro treadmill. and i have noticed, i use express burn v 4 to burn my data cds. it puts all the tracks, in alphabetical order, and have max cd -r blank 702 cds. now, on my toshiba a300 satellite psag4a 02300m it puts all the tracks in the correct order. but i notice, on the boom box, it puts one or two tracks at the end of the cd. i have noticed this. is there a setting on my boombox to try to get the correct tracks to play in the correct order. or is there any software, that will fix this order. real weird. like for example, on cd 1, i have 80s, 90s, 2000s and about 140 tracks. and the last track is wired for sound by cliff richard, but then it goes to the last track, sara by star ship. should be in the s category but not. tried using windows media player, and itunes, but not very successful, and had to throw away a coupld of cds. and purchase 50 for about $25.00 in australia, at my local harvey norman store in devonport, tasmania, australia. and using windows 7 professional 32 bit, and got the free express burn v 4.2 +. so if any one has had the same problems, not the correct order in express burn, how to do this, without throwing away four perfect cds. real strange. using jaws 12 and jaws 13 beta. marvin.

software, which is remote so remote that my being silly enough to think a one man local business knew jaws in fact had once met a blind man and saw him use jaws. He put this log me in software on my computer said he did this with many clients, and if my computer was left on would just start to have a little look around and mess up my files he thought he was helping by doing this. At times I saw a glimpse of other peoples names , I then called in another computer man who did not claim to know jaws but said I am going to disable this logme in software before he ruins your pc.and he did some fixing of files. So be warned about remote access software, at least with ttandem you know the other person has jaws, anyway only take care . I was too trusting regards dorothy

Hi,

Well, they do not have access to Eloquence but they do work with the RealSpeak voices.

Those programs have access to the proprietary JAWS synthesizers? Windows does not show those synthesizers, since generally outside programs do not have access to them. There used to be an Italian program that gave access to JAWS synthesizers and allowed for creating mp3 files, but I can't remember the name and don't know if it works on windoes7. Both will do what you are asking about. -----Original Message----- From: Dean Martineau Sent: Thursday, October 06, 2011 1:17 PM To: The Jaws for Windows support list. Subject: creating mpe's of EloQuence and RealSpeak readings On a win7 32-bit machine, running JAWS12 or potentially 13, does anybody have a way to turn a reading of a text document by one of the JFW synthesizers into an mp3 file? Or, and perhaps off-topic, I should be able to make OpenBook 9 do this but my attempt so far was unsuccessful. I want to take Spanish documents, have them read with a Realspeak synthesizer and be able to read them on a portable device, mp3 or daisy. Thanks.
