Hello there;

There's a couple way to achieve what your asking to do,

The first way is,

1, start menu edit box,
Type default.
You will see/hear default programs press enter.

2, now tab and enter on,
Set your default programs link.

3, now arrow, or, letter navigate to the windows media player,

4, now tab and enter on,
Set this program as default button.
Hope this helps.

Unfortunetly SPSS is not accessible with Jaws. I was faced with this problem
the last two semesters with my data analysis and research methods classes.
There are two ways that I know of to get around this problem. There is no
way to make Jaws work with the program, but fortunetly in my course we did
all the computer work in groups. I worked with my sited partners so that I
got the core material, but they entered all the data into the SPSS program.
You should talk with your professor and see if working in a group or with a
partner is possible as an accommodation. Just make sure you have help
memorizing the main components of SPSS even though your not using it
directely as for possible questions on exams. Hope this helps, and feel free
to ask anything else off list or as a reply.

SPSS is a powerful statistics software which is used by most mainstream
colleges. I believe it is the most powerful program for performing
statistical processes. It is used in a lot of advanced computations and
formulas as it is able to do complex calculations and digest formulas
much faster than any person could hope for.

Hi John,
I use only 32-bit OS-es, and cannot tell you for sure if WP13 works on a
64-bit OS, but strongly believe it's so.
Regarding the reading in the workspace, I have no that problem. I have the
other problem - when I use Cyrilic alphabetsJaws always reads them as a euro
sign when I use PC-cursor letter by letter, but when I move PC-cursor word
by word it reads correctly. In the case of Latin alphabets, I have no any
problem of that kind.
But my main problem is the fact that jaws doesn't read styles which persists
very long time. I mainly work with styles because it's important for the my
sighted collegues.

WordPerfect13 is the last one officially supported by jaws. If you
wish to use X4 and X5 you have to use it without scripts. I don't
understand suchbehaviour of FS despite of the fact that they support

But JAWS is not reading the first two lines of any emails. Is there any

Hi,

I had a brain freeze and don't remember how to fix this?

Using outlook 2010 when I open an email, it only reads the first line
and when I arrow down nothing is being said. When I compose an email,
I can arrow up or down and jaws will read it, however when I open an
email and read it, the above happens.

Does anyone have a fix for this or notes?

Thanks.

Chris,

May be a problem with the list, but it's confined to messages you are
sending out. Hopefully JDH can help.

I did not send them multiple times. It's some problem with the list.

I don;'t believe there are any screen readers that will work better than
Jaws with SPSS. The best solution in my opinion is to ask the professor if
it is possible for you to work with a partner or in a group so the sighted
person can do the SPSS input.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful.
Do you think by any chance if any other screen reader works with the
program?

Unfortunetly SPSS is not accessible with Jaws. I was faced with this
problem
the last two semesters with my data analysis and research methods classes.
There are two ways that I know of to get around this problem. There is no
way to make Jaws work with the program, but fortunetly in my course we did
all the computer work in groups. I worked with my sited partners so that I
got the core material, but they entered all the data into the SPSS
program.
You should talk with your professor and see if working in a group or with
a
partner is possible as an accommodation. Just make sure you have help
memorizing the main components of SPSS even though your not using it
directely as for possible questions on exams. Hope this helps, and feel
free
to ask anything else off list or as a reply.

Hello everyone,

I'm currently enrolled in a statistics course in which a program called
IBM
SPSS is used. Unfortunately, I have not had much luck at all at getting
jaws
12 to work with IBm SPSS 19. Have any of you ever used this program and
know
if there's anything I can do to make jaws read the menus, or perhaps
you've
heard of some information? I would greatly appreciate any information at
all
and thank you ahead of time.
