Sure, downloading music for free is legal...just not copyrighted music, except under certain circumstances.

DC++ and Soulseek are fine programmes that both seem to work reasonably well with jaws, should you wish to try them. There are also many public domain music websites that you can spend time perusing, but don't expect to find anything you would hear on most radio stations, for example.

In MS Word 2007 using the latest 12 version of Jaws, the say all command is reading only a portion of each paragraph. I've tried changing the say all scheme, but the problem persists. For now, I'm using the Classic scheme. Also --- this may not be relevant --- my say all is set to use the Real Speak voice as the default. Even when I switch to Eloquence for say all, the problem persists. How should I set Jaws 12 to read everything in say all? Many thanks in advance for any guidance.

yep, Torrenting is an option as well, although that is usually used for piracy, so I wasn't going to suggest it on a public list.
As you suggest, Amazon also offers the buying and downloading of mp3's.

It doesn't work well, or at least it didn't in my experience. The menus
are
all accessible, but because JAWS is using the virtual buffer, you can't
actually manipulate anything. I gave my copy to someone else in the
organization who needed it because I wasn't able to do effectively any of
the things I wanted to do.

Problem with comverting to Word or with Openbook is that the formatting is
lost. Only way I know is to purchase Adobe Acrobat and edit the document
directly. However I own the product and have to admit never editing
anything, so cannot comment on how well it works with JAWS.

I NORMALLY COPY AND THEN PASTE TO A WORD DOC AND EDIT THE DOCUMENT. Once
I
am through with my editing I then convert it back to pdf from a program
that I downloaded (it's free) called pdfcreator. There's also another
converter called primopdf that's free that you can use to convert a
revised
document back to pdf. I am sure there are converter programs out there
that
will convert from pdf to word and then back (so you can do your editing),
but I have never found any that worked correctly that were free.

No, with Adobe reader you can't do it, but If you want to use Adobe, you
will have to buy Adobe Acrobat.
I don't know if there are free editors out there.

Best regards,

Adi Kushnir.

Hi folks! I'm needing to edit PDF files for the first time for my job.
I'm
wondering how to do this, since I've never done something like this. I'm
assuming you can't do it with the Adobe Reader by itself right?

I am. You can't edit files with the free reader.

I'm assuming you're talking about the paid Adobe.
