Re: The other technical list

Hi,
There are a number of lists I'd recommend in addition to the ones others might have mentioned: BlTech, Accessible Computing and Blind Geek Zone.
Cheers,
Joseph

A number of times people who have asked questions here about technical
issues not quite related to JAWS have been referred to another list that
is for more general questions about technical issues that relate to
blind computer users. I have resisted subscribing to it because I get
too much email as it is. However, after reflecting about it for a while
I am thinking that it just might be more beneficial to me than this one,
especially since I am currently facing a certain technical issue that is
not specifically JAWS related. Might someone post that subscription
information for that list again?

Suggest adding an audio card to use with music and only use the Realtech for
JAWS.

Hi again

Yes, I using the same sound card for both Windows Media Player and JAWS. If
I playing other file types via Windows Media Player (e.g. a WAV-file),
Windows Media Player fine will play the sound, also when I open the file
directly via Windows Explorer.

On one of my other computers I not have these problem, so therefore I not
understand what happend on the computer where I have the problem.

The computer where I have the problem running Windows 7 64-bit, and the
computer have a motherboard from ASUS (ASUS P8H67-M REV3 DDR3 Intel H67)
with a integrated sound card from Realtek.

I using the latest drivers to the sound card.

If you have other solutions I can tried, please let me know.

Very thanks.

Perhaps you need to install a separate sound card on that machine for WMP to

use.

Hi everyone

On one of my computers running Windows 7 64-bit, I experience that JAWS
blocke sound from Windows Media Player, so I not can hear protected
WMA-files.

If I first unloading JAWS, open the protected WMA-file via Windows Explorer
and after that start JAWS again, Windows Media Player fine will play the

If I first has opened the protected file, I fine can stop and start the
playing - but if I unload Windows Media Player, I again first must unload
JAWS before I can open a new protected WMA-file.

Has any person heard about this problem before, and have a solution I can
tried?

I have tested with JAWS 12 and 13.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

Very thanks, and have a continued Easter.

I went to where I would post something on my wall and I tested it by writing
I love and my wifes complete name.
After I typed in her complete name, I arrowed down and jaws stated list box
and a list of names came up.
So, write something with the persons complete name as it states on fb and
arrow down and listen for the list box.
I hope this helps because if it doesn't I'm not sure why it worked for me.

I thought exactly the same thing, but whenever I type in a person's name in
the appropriate edit box on the standard FB site, nothing appears to happen
when I arrow down in search of the drop down menu. All that I find is the
'share' button and privacy boxes. How frightfully frustrating.

However, I'll let you know when I find the answer.

Meanwhile, thanks for getting in touch.

Please run the copytrans manager window maximized.

get the new scripts at:

If you do not have iTunes installed, you will need the copytrans drivers
so that your iPhone will be recognized.
