Re: Attachments in Outlook 2010

Hello there;
If you want a quicker way to save attachments in outlook2010
1, highlight the message which contains the attached file,
Do not enter,
Press alt+f,
You will land on save as,
Press enter.
Also, if you press alt+f, with the message highlighted not opened, you will
see save attachment.

While your cursor is on the attachment, not the message, go to the
ribbon. It's on the lower ribbon. If you go to the ribbon when the
cursor is on the message, attach isn't visible.

But you can just copy/paste the file name instead.

Re: Jaws commands

Jon Pierson <joncpierson@...>

Hi Robert,
I imagine you could paste with the afore-mentioned command into a chat or
something in Windows Live Messenger and then cut/copy to the clipboard for
use elsewhere.
It's not pretty and having this facility of JFW available in other places
would be helpful, much as the command Jawskey plus Numrow 4 is so handy in
pasting and copying those hard to type special symbols.

Hi.
To my knowledge, JFW doesn't have specific commands for either
emoticons or
acronyms used in chat--you know, like bff or ttyl. But you can
google
using
search phrases like "emoticons" or "chat acronyms" and get a ton
of stuff.
Just memorize what you use most often. Typing them in isn't all
that hard.

Hello All,
I sent an e-mail the other day, but have not seen any replies, so
I thought
I would send another e-mail.
I am wondering, if anyone can tell me how to do the following
when using
Jaws 13 with Windows 7.
I am working with gmail in my e-mail, and when I press the delete
key for
anything, it will not announce at all, the key is silent.
Also, I have tried insert f 12 and I only get the time, and it
used to give
the time and date.
I want to place smiley face, or different things like that in my
e-mail
message, and I am wondering how I do that.
Thanks,

Re: Attachments in Outlook 2010

Ann Byrne

While your cursor is on the attachment, not the message, go to the ribbon. It's on the lower ribbon. If you go to the ribbon when the cursor is on the message, attach isn't visible.

But you can just copy/paste the file name instead.

Ted,

As others have said, shift tab to the attachment list. Then left arrow. As
the attachment speaks, wait for the higher-pitched tone to ensure you're on
an attachment. Then the context menu will work, and you can either open or
save to disk (which is my preference). I also set up a QAT to more easily
save any and all attachments in one operation.

Bissett, Tom <tom.bissett@...>

I find if I go to the top of the email body then if I shift tab it puts me in where the attachments are and then with left and right arrow keys I can locate the one I want.
I think if the email has a lot of links you can get caught up in them so you may have to shift tab a few times.

Tom Bisset

Anybody know an easy way to find and open these? The Applications key
no longer works (of course not, it was simple and logical). I don't
want to start a big thread, and wake up the flame throwers, but if
anyone has an easy solution, either on or off list, I'd appreciate
hearing from you.

Pressing first the Alt key, and then the combination of Control plus Tab
definitely brings up the Toolbar items and then pressing control plus tab
again moves among the various visible toolbars.

tools in there as I can access then with Jaws cursor but I prefer to jump
into that area and go theu the buttons etc

Ann's command worked in Word XP, which I think is around 2001 in terms of

So, I cannot help there, but it is odd that versions on either side of 2002
would work, but not Word 2002. Be sure you hi the Alt key by itself. Then
press control plus tab. This should get you among the tool bars. Once you
have found the right tool bar, regular old tab or shift tab should get you
where you need to go. That worked in Word 2003 as recently as 3 minutes ago.
