Another thing to try is to read the textbox with the JAWS cursor. if it doesn't find any words, then there aren't any there. I think.

Did you arrow down to see if JAWS could read something? Select all with alt-a? Is there pictured text instead of actual words???

I mentioned this a week or so ago, but got no response. I've switched to scroogle.org. It gives the same search results without tracking and saving your searches. So if you like not being watched by your search engine, give them a try. They're supported by user donations.

Folks,
In an attempt to cut down on some of the excess trafick that crosses this list, I've set up a generalized technical support mailing list for use with issues not particular to JFW or its interactions with other programs. Re: Unabel to Change or Select Options On Google Search Settings Page
Darran Ross <darran.ross@...>
Gerald, you're absolutely right! Google have simply dispensed with the check boxes that made using the preferences option a doddle.

Many fine words come out from organisations like Google about accessibility, unfortunately the proof of the pudding is all to often in the eating! Oh, and don't bother trying the Google accessible search feature either, you can't make any preference choices on that site! Darran, another disgruntled user.
