Excel Formula

Hi All,

Several months back someone helped me out with an Excel formula. Since then
I have a computer crash and lost the information.

I have an Excel workbook that I keep our check register in. I would like to
be able to create a formula to pull all of the Wal Mart entries out and add
them up to find out how much I spent at Wal Mart. Would someone be able to
assist me with this formula? Thanks in advance!

Hello try the following;

1, windows-key+e=windows explorer.

2, alt+t=tools,

3, O=options,
Now shift+tab to general.

4, right arrow one time to view tab.

5, now tab to the tree view.

6, now press the letter "u",
You most likely will hear;
Use check boxes to select items on!
Press the spacebar to turn off,
Now tab ok and press enter.

Yes it is possible to turn numbering off Just go into your ribbon on the
home tab and go to paragraphs and then to numbering and you will find all of

After you do the steps below you should be able to Log into Webvisum using
your old user name & password.

Once you have Firefox open, you need to go to the Web Visum website &

you that it has prevented the add on from being installed and will prompt
you to Allow the install to occur. Press ALT+A when you get this message and

Now that you are ready,
Link, install the WebVisum extension.

Should you need any help with this procedure, please let us know via the
Contact Us page. The installation procedure will be simplified in the near
future.

4. When you click on the download link & follow the directions that are
given, the add-on installs within a few seconds. You need to close Firefox &
reopen it. After you open Firefox, press alt + T, for Tools, & arrow down
the list to see if you hear, Webvisum submenu. If Webvisum is there., the
webvisum add-on has been installed.

If you would like Webvisum to Log-in automatically do the following; 1. Open
Firefox & press Alt + T, for tools.
2. Arrow down to webvisum submenu & press enter.
3. Arrow down 1 time to preferences & press enter.
4. You will be on the General page so, now tab through to make your
selections. Press the spacebar on okay to save your changes & close
preferences.

When you open the webvisum submenus you can down passed preferences to see
what other options are in here. After you open preferences, you can arrow
down to see what other options there are, other than General.

Hi Dondi,

I don't have any idea why someone would want to turn typing interrupt off.
I only gave instructions on how to turn it off at the request of a fellow
list member. Personally, I have never turned it off to see how Jaws reacts.
I figure, if it ain't broke, why the hell mess with it! LOL LOL

To turn off typing interrupt do the following; 1. Press Insert / Jaws Key

then, press Control, shift, + D, to open the Settings Center default for

3. Arrow down to, typing interrupt, & press the spacebar to uncheck this

Now, keep arrowing down until you get to Speech Verbosity. This is where

2. Arrow down 1 time to, Verbosity Level Beginner Highest Speech
Verboscity,
& press the spacebar until Jaws reads Advanced Lowest.
3. Now, tab to apply, press the spacebar, tab to okay, press the spacebar,
to save all of your changes, & close the Settings Center.

Not my problem. If it starts with one that you receive, then it's your
ISP
doing it. If it starts with one that I've received, then it's my ISP
doing
it. In any case it's a headache to try and remove them every time they
proliferate.

Just go to your default dictionary, and for the word [bulk]
substitute a single blank space and save.

It will never speak again.

Sharon,

A couple things:

First select your entire worksheet and Press Alt+o, then c then a.
This
auto
sizes all columns in the sheet.

then with everything still selected, Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells
Dialog.
Ctrl+Tab to the Alignment page. Tab to word wrap and check the box.

These things may help.

Also somewhere there is a "shrink to fit" option for fonts, but not
sure
where it is. Perhaps on the print dialog.

I’m hoping someone may be able to alleviate some confusion I’ve experienced
over using JAWS and MAGic. I use JAWS periodically to test the
accessibility of software packages, interfaces, drivers, etc. – and have
long assumed that any reading errors I encountered were the fault of the
product tested – not JAWS itself.



That is until recently, when I was asked to test the compatibility of a
simple software program with both JAWS and MAGic. The version of MAGic I
purchased included a screen reader option. Because both packages come from
Freedom Scientific, I assumed the MAGic reader to be a very basic version
of JAWS. To my surprise – when I tested MAGic, many of the problems I had
just pinned on the software using JAWS disappeared. MAGic outperformed
JAWS, reading much of the interface flawlessly. [Although JAWS also read
things correctly that MAGic did not, and there were certainly instances
where both programs encountered the same problems.]



I am now at a loss as to how to interpret my findings. I don’t know enough
about how these packages work to come up with a good theory on why I’m
observing these differences. I am deeply concerned that some of the
“problems” I’ve identified for customers in the past had nothing to do with
their software whatsoever. They would very much like to make their products
screen-reader compatible, but at this point I don’t know what to tell them.



I would **greatly** appreciate any help/insight that any of you may have.



Examples:

· JAWS reads the incorrect label for an input field, MAGic does not.

· JAWS fails to read a label for an input field, MAGic does not.

· JAWS does not read the correct values when shifting focus through
combo box options, no issue in MAGic.

· MAGic reads many labels two or three times; JAWS does not.

Hi Dave. Yep, I simply don't hear the word spoken by Jaws when I'm in my email program. Simple solution. I suppose a situation could arise where someone uses the word bulk in an email, but they are unlikely to enclose the word in brackets, triggering the dictionary exception.

Chris,

Like minds, etc...

As I said the word bulk is inserted by a person's own ISP, not the ISP of
the sender. Therefore if George is seeing the first occurrence of the word
bulk then it's his own ISP doing it with some sort of Spam Guard.

Otherwise, it's nearly impossible to stop them proliferating as we each
reply to each other.

Happens on a lot of lists, but I never notice any more as I've created that
dictionary entry as you also suggested.

the text string "bulk"?

Some people have no control over that being inserted in their
subject lines.

First select your entire worksheet and Press Alt+o, then c then
a. This
auto
sizes all columns in the sheet.

then with everything still selected, Ctrl+1 to open the Format
Cells
Dialog.
Ctrl+Tab to the Alignment page. Tab to word wrap and check the
box.

These things may help.

Also somewhere there is a "shrink to fit" option for fonts, but not
sure
where it is. Perhaps on the print dialog.

Not my problem. If it starts with one that you receive, then it's your ISP
doing it. If it starts with one that I've received, then it's my ISP doing
it. In any case it's a headache to try and remove them every time they
proliferate.

Just go to your default dictionary, and for the word [bulk]
substitute a single blank space and save.

It will never speak again.

Hi Mike,

How or where would you want to use this typing interrupt turned off? I
turned it off and saw that my key strokes would no longer stop JAWS from
speaking, it just kept on talking. Just trying to learn something new.

To turn off typing interrupt do the following; 1. Press Insert / Jaws Key +
6 on the number row above the main keyboard to open the Settings Center
then, press Control, shift, + D, to open the Settings Center default for all
applications.
2. Arrow down to Users, press right arrow to open.
3. Arrow down to, typing interrupt, & press the spacebar to uncheck this
box.

Now, keep arrowing down until you get to Speech Verbosity. This is where you
will change your verboscity to advanced. Do the following; 1. Press the
right arrow to open Speech Verboscity.
2. Arrow down 1 time to, Verbosity Level Beginner Highest Speech Verboscity,
& press the spacebar until Jaws reads Advanced Lowest.
3. Now, tab to apply, press the spacebar, tab to okay, press the spacebar,
to save all of your changes, & close the Settings Center.
