Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] jaws 13
Ted,
For me, on my Dell laptop with Windows 7 32-bit it means that sporadically JAWS 13 takes a long deep breath of silence after closing an Outlook 2007 message, or editing a calendar appointment. The deep breath usually lasts 15 to 25 seconds.
I also noticed that in Excel 2007 and deleting a few rows or a few columns, that there is a very noticeable delay before JAWS 13 starts speaking again. Also happened with JAWS 12 but does not happen with JAWS 11.
Also notice that JAWS 13 is inclined to actually crash in Outlook 2007 calendar when doing editing of appointments. The previously-reported deep breath turns out to be a death rattle for Outlook 2007, requiring that I launch Narrator to press on the "restart Program" button to get Outlook restarted and JAWS 13 speaking again. This naughty behavior did not occur with Outlook 2007 and JAWS 12 on my old XP machine.
Food for thought, and yes -- all have been duly reported to FS Support.

Re: Microsoft 2010 and Excel--selecting text
To add to that, if you have two areas you want selected, join them with a comma. Row 3, columns a through o and row 10, columns g through i would look like this
a3:o3,g10:i10

Another way to select cells is to use goto. If you know that the text you want selected is rows 1-10, columns a-o, you could press f5 or control+g for g-to, then type a1_o10
This would select a1-o1, a2-o2, through a10-o10. At 06:06 AM 1/11/2012, you wrote:

Sharon,
A couple things:
First select your entire worksheet and Press Alt+o, then c then a. This auto
sizes all columns in the sheet.
then with everything still selected, Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells Dialog.
Ctrl+Tab to the Alignment page. Tab to word wrap and check the box.
These things may help.
Also somewhere there is a "shrink to fit" option for fonts, but not sure where it is. Perhaps on the print dialog.

Carl Blunt <ctblunt88@...>
If you have your store names in one column (A) and your payments in a second column (B), use the sumif() function. Here are a few ways to do it, going from basic to slightly more advanced: Example A =sumif(A1:A20,"Wal Mart",B1:B20) This looks for Wal Mart in cells A1 through A20 and totals the corresponding values in cells B1 through B20. Example B =sumif(A:A,"Wal Mart",B:B) This looks for Wal Mart in anywhere in column A and totals the corresponding values in column B. Example C =sumif(A:A,C1,B:B) This checks column A for whatever you type in cell c1, and provides the corresponding total. Type Wal Mart to get that total, then Target to get that total, etc Example D Add multiple sumif() functions to have it keep a running tally for each store: [C1]: Walmart [D1]: =sumif(A:A,C1,B:B) [C2]: Target [D2]: =sumif(A:A,C2,B:B) [C3]: Amoco [D3]: =sumif(A:A,C3,B:B) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Well you should be able to use the sum function to add the cells which pertain to Walmart, say B1 through B30 or something, and it could be as simple as that. If it got more complicated than that, because of defining ranges, then you'd have to define the range from cells b1 through b30, for instance, as the Walmart range, and then do sum(walmart) instead of sum(b1:b30) This of course all after you hit the equals sign in the cell you want in order to start the formula. Hi, I got this from Wikipedia. Draconian is an adjective meaning great severity, that derives from Draco, an Athenian law scribe under whom small offences had heavy punishments (Draconian laws). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DraconianDondi

Hello Sometime if I am doing something and have several programs open, jaws 13 tend to quit. Anyone has this issue? If I did not have NVDA things be bad. Hi,
I have something like this happen with my computer. I use JAWS 12 and Openbook 9 and it looks like if I open Openbook while at the same time I have a lot of other programs open my computer locks up. I found if I watch that I don't have to many programs open with Openbook I won't have a computer lock up.
