Re: [Bulk] Can any of you please edit the word bulk out of your subject linesHuh?

Dave...

No can do. Takes too long to do that. And it will always come back when it
filters through many of our ISP.

You're welcome to start doing it yourself, but it's a fool's errand.

Just set your JAWS dictionary to the following:

Actual Word: [bulk]
Replacement Word:

In the replacement word press the spacebar once to put in a blank space.

Press OK, and then save the file.

Done. You won't have to hear it any more.

Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] [Bulk] new jaws

Dave...

Adrian,

Yes, I will admit that FS would not announce anything they fixed
accidentally. Just as true as not telling anyone if they accidentally broke
something, as well.

However looking over all the so-called enhancement announcements, there are
a very large number that start with the words: Fixed an issue with..." that
imply they fixed something.

And I've yet to find an entry that starts wit "Broke something that worked
with..." That would be nice, even if not good news.

Dave,

I don't really agree with this. FS has fixed things without saying so. I
can't give examples, but I have noticed it over time. There could be any
number of reasons why a fix would go umnentioned. A cynical one would be
that FS might hold back from announcing a fix when they don't want to admit
a certain problem existed in the first place. Another could be that some
problems fix themselves, just as some solutions just happen to get unfixed
in the next release.

Re: [Bulk] Accessible software with JAWS there can read information aboutwireless network

Dave...

Only way I've found is to make sure that the wireless icon shows in the
system tray. There you can listen to the signal strength of the current
connection.

Do not know how to get that for a list of possible connections, however.

Hi Dave
Thank you for the scripts for Skype. It went like clock work. I had
tried to find them before but had no luck. One question for people, though,
is it Alt page up to answer and alt page down to hang up? I looked at the
keyboard commands for Jaws but there wasn't any information about this.
Thanks so much.

That's what I like about Apple. They are the largest/richest company
in the world, voiceover their built in screen reader is by no means
their priority but still they treet every customer, voiceover user or
not as their only customer and they will always answer a question even
if they don't have a solution to the problem they will try to help.
They also take bug reports from their voiceover users very seriously
even though blind/voiceover users are just a single drop in their
ocian of customers worldwide.

Don't expect a smooth ride in some cases jaws is still better than
voiceover and as I said voiceover isn't a top priority for apple but
voiceover is catching up to jaws at a hell of a fast rate. Luckally
there's a lot of voiceover support like the macvisionaries google
group and a lot of podcasts to get you going.

Re: the documents list--solved!

David <davidwhitehead1957@...>

Hello there;

You ask;
So? Which is best?

the first one, Automatically type in to the Search Box?
Or the 2nd one, Select the typed item in the view?
Well, the first one should be off, unless, you wish to type in the search
box each time you go into a folder,
So yes, the second is on.

As for downloading?

If your using IE9,
When you go to download a file,
Press, ctrl+j, then tab options, you then can choose the folder/directory
where the file should go.
Or, when you press enter on the download link;
Press alt+n, and tab to save split button.

Remember, the default for downloads is,
The download folder found in the user folder,

Example,
On my computer it's David, then enter, then "d" for downloads.

I hope this gets you started.

This is me being a bit thick.
But I did not change my settings yet in my Windows 7 machine that much.
And I have not yet learned as much as I need to when it comes to navigating
the files and folders.

So you asked is it ON?
Which choice is best?

the first one, Automatically type in to the Search Box?
Or the 2nd one, Select the typed item in the view?

My setting, which is I guess is the default is to have the 2nd option check
box checked.
And it is true, that when I press the letter the focus goes to each item in
the folder starting with that letter as usual.

I tried the other setting, but had no clue as to what was going on there.
What is that setting doing, and how is it supposed to work?

One big thing that is different, I have noticed in Windows 7, has been how
the contents in the List View do not automatically change to show the
contents of the folder over in Folder View unless I hit Enter. Is that
correct? Moving around in my Tree is made different in that way.

I also have trouble yet figuring out about how to use the dialog box in SAVE

AS in Windows 7. Specifically, how to go and find the folder in which I
wish to save my document or file. I used to always use Alt + I for Look In,
and then go and find the folder. But am not finding that yet.

Perhaps I will post this with a separate heading. Unless you want to take
it on here.
But I could sure use a bit of information on this, too.

Thanks very much, David and all of you's.
