Natural reader 9

Jim L

Heya folks,

Am using Natural reader 9 when I do a control F9 to get the reader to talk
and read text in the programs text field that I've copied too, not only does
the speech I select reads the text so does Jaws so am having a double speech
affect happening. Is there anyway I can stop Jaws reading the text and only
hearing the speech Ive selected? Pressing the control key to stop Jaws
talking here doesn't work.

I don't really want to put Jaws in sleep mode on this program as I want to
be able to use the commands and menus, so in other words just want to stop
Jaws reading mode within this program, is this possible?

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but before you shutdown NVDA,
You better make sure, it's not going to start when computer starts.

Re: JAWS with Japanese

Eri <withulmus@...>

Hi all,

You could buy JAWS Japanese version. It costs roughly about 1600 US dollars.

I mentioned NVDA to Ari since Ari stated he is not interested in
buying localized JAWS.

The only question I have about adding Japanese RealSpeak, Kyoko, is
this: how can she correctly read out all those kanji letters without
specific Japanese pronunciation dictionary? A kanji letter meaning
mountain could be pronounced "yama," "san" or "zan". It depends on
what comes before or after the letter. Japanese version of JAWS
certainly has a very good dictionary.

If any of you are interested in purchasing JAWS Japanese version, I
assure you it is very good.

Best wishes to all,

Eri

I'm not sure if there is a Japanese eloquence or not, but if so you

If you are running OpenBook, you should definitely get this update. It
fixes some issues if you're running JAWS and OpenBook at the same time.

David,

Agree, 13.0.924 had no significant improvements and didn't fix any of the
"valium Mode" issues I've been experiencing for months. I still get very
long pauses (30 seconds to a couple minutes) intermittently when closing
Adobe Acrobat or Outlook 2007 messages. I'm suspicious that the overhaul
that came out with JAWS 13 compromised a once-well-designed processing
algorithm.

us that.

JAWS
13 yet.

Re: query about removing earlier version of Jaws

Brian Hansen <BC.Hansen23@...>

You need to reauthorize JFW's video chain manager.

Blessings,

I removed jaws 5.0 from my friend's computer and now it is asking something about video intercept when the computer boots up. Also when he enters outlook express and tries to send an e-mail message, it defaults to the edit field and neither of us can get to the "to" field. Any help appreciated.
