Is F S aware of Outlook issues with JAWS 14?

Tusing <ptusing@...>

Hi,
I am posting an answer to ease of use ofOutlook 2010.
I wonder if F S is aware of these Outlook 10 issues with V 14 as I felt
pressure from F S to move to JAWS 14 when I had just learned Outlook 2010.

I realize F S does not wish to support earlier versions, but a lot of people
have bought computers prior to Windows 8
And wish to use Outlook as well as reasonably possible.

Thinking about it a little more, I think F S should for what we pay
them, should support the current and at least 1 previous version.

Here is what some one wrote about JAWS 14and Outlook 10,
""It works pretty well with 13, unfortunately the release version of 14 has
a few issues, but you should be ok with 13. If you have any specific
questions you'd like answers to I'm very happy to try and answer. Cheers

Also make sure to try the Escape key and/or the NumPad + key, in case your
cursor is actually in forms mode.

Not necessarily correct.

I have visited sites which had been changed by the programmers, which were
previously reasonably or very accessible.

When you come across a situation where you are arrowing down a web page and
you get to a position on the page where JAWS keeps repeating the same line
of text, try using the JAWS mouse down command, which is: ALT+SHIFT+DOWN
ARROW, say about six to ten times. Hopefully, you will move the JAWS
Invisible cursor out of the text element which is preventing you from
proceeding down the web page.

You can USE ALT+SHIFT+LEFT ARROW, ALT+SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW, ALT+SHIFT+UP ARROW,
to move the mouse pointer by fixed increments.

Still, the jaws virtual cursor shouldn't get stuck just because a web sight had changed.

I am also having the same problems with JAWS 14 and Facebook. I have
not
figured out a work around yet.

Dear list,

I just upgraded to Jaws 14, and the only probable I'm having is with
facebook. I use the normal site and it's giving me a lot of trouble in
terms
of navigation. The main thing is that I cannot scroll through and read
my
messages as it seems to get stuck and read the same thing over and
over.
Anyone else having problems with facebook? thanks

Re: facebook

Juan Pablo <jpculasso@...>

Yes, Drew. In jaws 14 sadly there is a lot lost focusses in facebook. Seems very hard navigating by headings, for example.

Re: facebook

Chris Smart <csmart8@...>

Has anyone contacted Facebook about it?
I did once about capchas and they were helpful. Granted, that was a few years ago, so I don't know if Facebook's customer service is more or less helpful nowadays.
