tabbing usually sends you through other tool bars,
that is why I shift + tab just once instead of multiple tabs.

I want everyone to realize that the Orbit Reader was designed to be a reader rather than a display so it does not have many standard display commands. It also does not have cursor routing keys.

Oh, I hate to hear this as I'm waiting for my new Orbit to arrive, hopefully on Friday. I can't believe there would not be such a basic keyboard command already mapped out.

I can do this on a Refreshabraille 18 display, but this display has n extra key called the Aux space bar. I press this key, and dots 2 5 6, and this emulates an Alt+F4. It may have also be possible on a BrailleNote MPower, but I can't remember the exact keys that were u sed. ~Ann

Re: Select Google Chrome from desktop and stays on desktop

I did call tech support at Freedom Scientific. The guy never heard of the problem with Google Chrome. We tried a couple of things and nothing worked. Then it started to work. Then it stopped working. The tech guy talked to his supervisor. We tried a number of things. It came down to either rebooting or going in out of Chrome or pressing alt D. Guy said he didn’t know if it was Google Chrome or Jaws causing the problem. He said I will just have to work around it. A little while later the problem occured again. This time nothing I did corrected the problem. I will send an email to support. I’m pretty sure I won’t hear anything. Now is that awesome support or what?

A perfect time to get in touch with Freedom Scientific tech support. Even if the issue does lie with Chrome, you can be certain that it's probably not only you it's happened to. Getting a "critical mass" of reports is what gets the ball rolling between companies such as Freedom Scientific and Google on issues such as this. I think if you created an account on the website before downloading/installing the client, you can explore the settings without joining a meeting. just log in and explore away.

Works pretty well for me. I have used it with Win 10 and Win 7 and used
both IE and Edge. Tom
How accessible is the Walmart delivery on pc? And, which browser should I use?
I have jaws 2019 with Windows 10.
I've got Chrome as my main browser, but would use IE, or redownload Mozilla is necessary.
Thanks,

Hi, Richard. Try starting Zoom, then go to your system tray with Windows plus B or JAWS key plus F11, find the entry for Zoom, and press ENTER. This should bring up a context menu with a menu entry for Settings. Press ENTER on Settings.

If the detect tables does not work, another possibility is that layout tables are causing you grief so make sure they are turned off.
Web sites have CSS in order to put text into columns and other cute layouts, but Mail generally ignores CSS functions for complex layout so designers end up using tables with multi row or multi column spans that can not effectively be read column by column row by row, so the screen reader ends up either reading things repetitively or else skipping important information. Sometimes the mail will have a plain text alternative either in the same message or in a subscribe button. This of course brings its own problems.
