I don't know about a JAWS script, but the number of free talking clock programs for Windows, whether through the Microsoft Store or elsewhere, is myriad.  I can find no way to easily make the built-in Windows clock function do what you wish without setting hourly alarms at the top of each hour, during waking hours, and even then it doesn't speak the actual time.

This one, https://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows-Widgets/Alarms-Clocks/Talking-Clock-Igogo.shtml, is one of many that appears to fulfil the need you mention.  Whether it's accessible or not I cannot know.  The way I find out is by downloading and trying with a screen reader.

Yes, it does talk, and it's working pretty good on Jaws 2021. Just a quick
heads-up,
To make it work, you have to compile the file cuckoo.jsb first!

Press CTRL alt and whatever number you want. For example, 1 for heading 1 text and 2 for heading 2 text. You can press the above hotkey either before or after typing your text. Just know that after you type text you want in heading xxx, you have to of course select it before pressing above hotkey.

Good afternoon,

I do have my jaws notification set to notify me when an  update  is ready too b   installed.  But in this instance, I had too go to a  link that a list member  sent too install it.

Now I’m wondering, if this update will cause me not allow me to install future updates when they come out.

I got a notice about the upgrade, so I wonder if you missed it or havent’ restarted JAWS since it came out.  I know I didn’t go looking for the update on the website and got the upgrade prompt.

One thing that I don’t understand about the jaws update that they released in January 20th of this year, is that I didn’t see anything about a jaws update that I should have gotten,  was that their was no notification notice regarding that their was even an update to be downloaded to install.  If not, then why  not?

Hi all,

Not sure if anyone has noticed, when in Microsoft Teams and using ctrl+2 to bring up the chat list, you can arrow down and if you want to remove one of the chats, there is a hide option if you arrow down.  It is the one after the mute option.

JAWS seems to read some random things at the beginning when you arrow to the option as below:

.st0{opacity:.74} Hide ‑

Hi,

Just a note for this thread, when you are dealing with google, Amazon, or even Apple devices, these companies are considered the Big 3 when it comes to gathering data on User experience(UX). Every time you use their website or devices that are connect to the internet, you’re being tracked. Your UX is stored in monster size data warehouses. In other words, through the use of artificial intelligence(AI), you and your friends that you connect with is cross checked and analyzed for patterns(your habits) and they use this auto filling and what pop up advertisements you receive. The only way to cut down on this data gathering is to remove the stored cookies or do not agree to allow cookies and time to time delete your browser cache.

In the latest versions of Chrome, autocomplete is handled in the You and Google Pane, Sync & Google Services control

1. Open Chrome Settings, ALT+F,S

2. Navigate to the You and Google Pane (which is actually where you should have landed when Settings opens), and once in the Pane itself navigate to Sync & Google Services control, and activate it

3. Navigate to the toggle for, Autocomplete searches and URLs, and toggle it off.

This will not prevent the "previously visited" list from appearing beneath the address bar as you type, but it prevents anything from autocompleting in the address bar itself as you type.

Hi Brian,
I am using an Outlook account. What I meant was like in Gmail I would have to go to the Gmail website to set up filters. Is There something similar for Outlook accounts?

The generic answer:  Yes.

The remaining questions:  A specific folder in what e-mail client.  How one sets up filters differs depending on the client.
Are you using a Gmail account?  If so you should set up your filtering and labels (which are implemented as IMAP folders in an email client) in the Gmail web interface, then it's taken care of no matter what email client ends up being used.

'If you are using Outlook, it has the ability to create rules that would automatically move emails from a particular address into a folder and you can assign a different sound to those messages.
You would want to create a folder first, but this is at a level that would be hard to write out instructions for.
Microsoft accessibility would likely help you with this.
Or maybe someone knows a good online tutorial.
