I do not know what the processes for non-US users to engage with support.

Also hopefully you’ll have better luck than I do. Every time I called, they tandems into my computer and all of a sudden the copy started to work.

Thanks,abraham

BTW, a funny thing has happened. Your message said something along the lines “We can only report it to support”, right after my TTS finished reading it I heard a message from Outlook: “Not available outside the open message”

Now Here This:  You do NOT need to use IE to complete the U.S. Census online.  I completed it in Brave and know of folks who've done so in Chrome, Firefox, Edge original, and new Chromium-based edge.

This is a case where some incompetent didn't even think twice about what they were writing.  Microsoft has been strongly recommending that users abandon IE for years now.  To wit:

Microsoft wants you to stop using Internet Explorer                    (Feb 2019)

12 reasons not to use Internet Explorer, ever | Computerworld  (June 2011 – Even more valid now)

And if you web search on “Why you should not use Internet Explorer” the list of returned results is long, and virtually unanimous in the expert (and non-expert) opinion that you should not.

Re: Latest JAWS consuming higher than normal memory?

One can always use Windows Task Manager as well.   I still have not honed my skills on keeping focus with a screen reader in utilities like Resource Monitor or Task Manager where the display is dynamic and constantly changing as data updates on a second by second basis.  Stuff "jumps a lot" and I haven't perfected keeping up with the jumping nor working across the various columns.

Hey all,

So I installed the latest version of JAWS on this laptop 2 days ago. It’s been running overnight now because I’m using it for work, and I’m noticing something odd. Usually JAWS occupies around 200 MB or so of RAM, tops. At the minute, it’s up around 4 GB of RAM. I mean, I have 16 so that’s not a huge issue, but that seems slightly odd. Anyone else having this problem? This is on Windows 10’s latest build.

I have the same issue with Firefox.
Think this is a known design flaw with jaws, which they have not been able to fix.
Would suggest calling support to see if they can provide any help.

Recently I have lost speech on several occasions whilst typing. My
husband has so far always been able to recover speech. This time we are
having a lot of problems and cannot get speech to work properly again.
Is it possible to unload jaws  and then reload it with jaws  defaults?
Or is there another way to tackle this? I want to upgrade to jaws  20,
but don't think I should do this until I have resolve my current problem.

I really like using zoom.  We use it for meetings all the time. I use

you can take notes in word or in a text file, and hear all your jaws

I haven’t used the Zoom platform with JAWS yet, but I find the iPhone
app for Zoom really easy to use thus far, as long as you have an
earpiece with microphone so that people don’t hear voicover talking.
If I were doing a class with Zoom, I might run Zoom from my phone,
leaving my laptop open for taking notes.

Subject: Latest JAWS consuming higher than normal memory?
