It may be able to, at least indirectly. A more direct approach would be getting sighted assistance to look at what the printer display (I'm presuming it has one) might be saying, whether that assistance is "in the flesh" or via Be My
Eyes or Aira.
Does the machine make any sort of noise whatsoever when you hit the copy key? They can be set up to scan/copy to the computer, resulting in a file rather than print copy.
If it's not making any noise, you're probably going to have to find out what the status is on its display before you can move forward. If it is making noise, you may be able to use JAWS with the configuration software to switch it from doing "to computer"
copy/scan to doing "to print."
Also, most of these machines have a copy button, which really should typically produce a hard copy, and a scan button. If you're hearing activity, you may have activated the scan button rather than copy. I can't really know how this machine is set up without
a model number to go on.

Re: Can JAWS Aid you in Copying?
Do you know how to insert an envelope into the Brother printer? I thought all you needed to do was take the paper out of the paper tray, put the envelope in,
adjust the guides around the envelope, put the paper tray into the computer and then just print. I have tried this, but it is not working. Do you know what I could be doing wrong?

Nope. It is all done inside the printer. I just use k1000's copy feature when I need to copy, and it is done on the computer, instead. The reason nothing happened on your printer is that it probably needed more information such as whether you needed to
reduce or enlarge, and that would be done on the printer's screen.

I have just recently purchased a Brother printer. One feature it has which I like is a Copy feature. Yesterday I was intending to make a copy of something to send to my sister-in-law.
I thought that all you had to do was put the paper you wanted to copy on the scanner which is part of the printer and then hit the Copy button and the copy would then be made onto a sheet of paper you have in your tray. When I pressed the Copy button, nothing
happened, so I was wondering if JAWS could aid me in this process.

like the person who installed JAWS on her computer, set JAWS to be
minimized to the Task Tray. When this is done, when someone presses
ALT+TAB, to cycle through the open windows, the JAWS window is
not displayed.
Suggest to

1. Press
WINDOWS KEY+M, to go to the desktop.
2. If JAWS
2020 is the only version of JAWS installed on the machine, press the
letter J, to highlight JAWS. If there is more than 1 version
installed, keep pressing the letter J, until, JAWS 2020 is
spoken.
3. press
ENTER. The JAWS Context Window opens, and the first option in that
window, is "options".
4. Tap the
DOWN ARROW once, to highlight "Utilities".
5. tap the
RIGHT ARROW 3 times, JAWS will say, "Allow access to my

6. Press

In newer versions of Windows narrator is available in the standard pe, I have used it a number of times. You can install windows or do anything from the command prompt. Just try it and see if it works. On Sat, 08 Aug 2020 14:25:31 -0400, Dave Durber wrote: John:

Whereas, if you use Brian Smart's Windows 7 TWPE or Carlos's (I am sorry I do not remember his last name), Windows 10 TWPE, you get NVDA, with Eloquence built in.
You can do many things, when you use a WPE or TWPE
Completely erase a system drive, which, obviously, you could not do, if you wer running a session of Windows.
You can use a 3rd party software package to restore a backed up image of a system drive, created by, for example, Macrium or Image for Windows, again, you cannot do that, if you are in a Windows session.

Jaws on another sound card and total recorder
Hi. I have my Windows default sound set to speakers on realtech audio, but I have the Jaws default set on a usb sound card which is just output. Now I discovered that total recorder will not record while the usb sound card is plugged in, even though I can hear fine out of the realtech sound card. Anyone ever seen this and is there a fix for this problem?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Re: bryan smarttalking win pe
John:
If you use a standard WPE, it it is unlikely, that Narrater will be available.
2 examples of why you need to use, a WPE or, a TWPE or, something else, which allows you to do certain things, outside the constrictions while any operating system is running.

I have just discovered the following
method:
Press INSERT+J, to open the JAWS "Context"
Menue.
Press U, which opens the "utilities" submenue,
and highlights the "Tandom" Submenue.
press t, which opens the "tandom" submenue,
and highlights the "Tandom Centre" submenue.
Press C, which opens the "Tandom Centre" submenue,
and highlights the "Allow Access to My Computer...". There are 2
choices:
Press A, to open this option. JAWS will
speak the text in the dialogue. The highlight is on the "Meeting", edit
field/ 9r
Press G, which opens the "Get Access to a
Computer...", option. JAWS will speak some text in the dialogue, the
highlight, is on, the "Get Access", option.
Press G, to open this option. JAWS will
speak the access code, which needs to be given to the other person.
The beauty of this method, is that, you do not need
to move your fingers off the qwerty keyboard at all
This is definitely going to be the method I will
use in the Future.
Wich ever method we use, and others will have their way of achieving the

There's not a shortcut command for getting the
access code for accessing someone elses computer. Press, Insert +
J, then press the letter, U, to open Utilities, then press enter on, submenu
Jaws Tandem, press enter on submenu Tandem center, press enter on Get access

Just in case JAWS 2020 is not loading
correctly, ask your friend, to unload JAWS, then, reload
JAWS.
Remember, your friend may not be able to
perform the INSERT+CTRL+ALT+T, JAWS command to go straight to the tandom
window, where they need to enter the meeting ID code. In that case, following the steps in my previous
email, might be a better way for your friend, to get to that

It looks like
the person who installed JAWS on her computer, set JAWS to be minimized to
the Task Tray. When this is done, when someone presses ALT+TAB, to
cycle through the open windows, the JAWS window is not
displayed.
Suggest to her
that she do the following:
1. Press
WINDOWS KEY+M, to go to the desktop.
2. If JAWS 2020
is the only version of JAWS installed on the machine, press the
letter J, to highlight JAWS. If there is more than 1 version installed,
keep pressing the letter J, until, JAWS 2020 is spoken.
3. press ENTER.
The JAWS Context Window opens, and the first option in that window, is
"options".
4. Tap the DOWN
ARROW once, to highlight "Utilities".
5. tap the
RIGHT ARROW 3 times, JAWS will say, "Allow access to my

6. Press ENTER.
The meeting ID window is opened. After speaking some text, JAWS will say,
"Meeting ID, edit". She needs to enter the meeting ID you give her,
followed by pressing the ENTER key, to start the Tandom

Re: bryan smarttalking win pe
No it won't! You can access files of other users, and get passwords and wipe the drive and more with WinPE that you cannot do in windows alone when the operating system is running. Clearly you haven't ever used it. It is a tool put out by Microsoft, and there would not be a Windows 10 WinPE if there was no need for it. It's not for installing in windows 10. Glenn

Re: Can JAWS Aid you in Copying?
Nope. It is all done inside the printer. I just use k1000's
copy feature when I need to copy, and it is done on the computer,
instead. The reason nothing happened on your printer is that it
probably needed more information such as whether you needed to
reduce or enlarge, and that would be done on the printer's screen.

When I pressed the Copy button, nothing happened, so I was

Re: Using Audible app
I’ve been using the Cloud Player for about a month now, finding it very satisfying; was able to vary the speed so I could make an impending library group mtg and be somewhat cogent about the book we were to discuss; it does remember where you left off, and you can, indeed, fast-forward or re-wind according to the need. Also, having read Neil Peart’s book Clockwork Angels on both it, and the player for audiobooks.com, I discovered I like the audio better on Audible—his voice came through more faithful to what I know it sounded like in interviews, so I was very pleased. That’s all I know so far. Sandra Science is no more than an investigation of a miracle we can never explain, and art is an interpretation of that miracle. (Ray Bradbury)

Re: Can JAWS Aid you in Copying?
It may be able to, at least indirectly. A more direct approach would be getting sighted assistance to look at what the printer display (I'm presuming it has one) might be saying, whether that assistance is "in the flesh" or via Be My Eyes or Aira. Does the machine make any sort of noise whatsoever when you hit the copy key? They can be set up to scan/copy to the computer, resulting in a file rather than print copy. If it's not making any noise, you're probably going to have to find out what the status is on its display before you can move forward. If it is making noise, you may be able to use JAWS with the configuration software to switch it from doing "to computer" copy/scan to doing "to print." Also, most of these machines have a copy button, which really should typically produce a hard copy, and a scan button. If you're hearing activity, you may have activated the scan button rather than copy. I can't really know how this machine is set up without a model number to go on. --
