Dear List,
I'm using Jaws 14 with 1 Upgrade Remaining,
Can I save it for Jaws 16, or is it only good for Jaws 15?
Thanks,

Re: Winamp May Not Go ByeBye After All

Interestingly, as a player, I never had good luck with Winamp. I used it occasionally when I worked in Radio Reading, but it was very touchy for me, and I found it crashed if you breathed too hard. Until recently I always used Windows Media Player, but now I'm a big fan of VLC Media Player from Videolan. I don't think there's much it won't play, and I don't have any trouble using it. So if something does happen to Winamp, consider VLC.

If your system is a 64 bit system, you will have two instances of the Program Files folder in your main C drive, one called “Program Files” and the other called “Program Files X86” or something to that effect… I’m on my Mac right now so can’t check the exact name.

Hello,  You should be able to go to the "Control Panel", then click on

Hope this helps.

Lauren,

Is the Avery 5362 a full-sheet set of labels (i.e. an 8.5 x 11 sheet)?
Otherwise, the problem might be that your margins are not set properly for
the label stock, and Word is printing an extra column because it sees more
room available.

Make sure to practice with plain paper before ever starting to feed your
more expensive Avery Label stock in the printer.

I got as far as being able to choose the type of label and I did: Avery and
the product # as 5262. I followed the steps and Jaws says # of columns is 2.
However, when I choose ok and create the label page, 3 columns appear.

It's been my experience that JAWS will probably handle an odd-ball program (anything outside the MS mainstream) better than a freebie. I've used it with several state apps, or apps developed or adapted for our department, not to mention my Bible, which the two free programs barely recognized.

You might want to call Freedom Scientific technical support in Saint Petersburgh, Florida. The creators of JAWS have a specific official list of software packages that they will support. Even if your husband's inventory control package is not on Freedom Scientific's official list then as previously suggested it would be worth your time to download the free demo of JAWS.

You might want to also download the free screen reader NVDA.
Hope this helps Adam S.

Subject: mail merge for labels in word 2013

Hi:

I have a file created in Word 2013 using windows 8 & Jaws 14.

I want to create pages of labels that I can print so I can send out my
Xmas
cards.

I can't figure this out. When I choose mailings tab, and choose the step
by
step, I am given a choice of either use existing list or create a new one.
What do I do and how can I create my labels list? Is there a better way?

Sincerely,

Lauren
