Hi,

What do I need to do?

The command that someone gave for finding the username and password didn’t work.

Thanks,

Jessica

The IPv4 must be entered with the first two characters upper case, and the v in lower case, for this to work correctly.

Hi list,

As I have told you in my first message, my first contact with JFW was about a year ago. Back then I had some problems of my own which prevented me from learning about the wsoftware. But as my knowledge increased drastically due to the community I wanted to give something back and localize JAWS to Polish, which is my native language. I know that there is already a polish version of JAWS, but I consider the translators’ policy to be immoral, if not even illegal, hence my willingness to translate JAWS from scratch and share the polish version on my own terms. Is there a way I can localize the whole program? I have found some *.JSM files but these seem to be only the script specific dialogues.

The first step if you want to do it yourself, rather than depending on a program that uses pre-written templates is to learn HTML code at whatever level you wish.
NotePad will only be useful if you know the coding required.
There are tons of online tutorials to learn how to create websites.
I did it so long ago that I don't have specific ones in mind.
I think NotePad++ may have some templates, but someone else I'm sure will chime in.
Enjoy,

Hi,

I have a computer that’s running windows 10 pro, with jaws 2020.

I’d like to be a able to access this computer remotely.

In order to do this, I need the IP Address.

To find it, I have to access a toolbar.

How would I go about doing that with jaws?

Thanks,

Jessica

Hello,

The current manufacturer of the Romeo and Julilette braille embossers are handled by Humanware. They took over sales and servicing from Enabling Technology, Inc. over about 10 years ago.

They do have phone tech support and offices in the United States, based in New York. Go to their website for more information.

Hello, I want to find a used Braille Printer within reasonable price.   I would prefer interpoint but, not absolutely necessary.  Of course, a new printer would be nice, the cost is not.  Does anyone have a suggestion on a BRL printer tht won’t fall apart before my eyes?

I know where I can borrow one but, it is about 12-15 years old and is either parallel or seriel port.  I am looking around for a converter cable to USB and it is not recommended.  Not even sure if I can find the drivers.  Thanks for any help here.  Andy and Shubert

Hi,

The subject says it. I cannot read messages in Facebook messenger with Jaws2020, latest version. I can see all relevant buttons and where messages should be, but the messages will not read. This happens in Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Does anyone have any fixes or work arounds?

Index basic versions produce very good braille, and they aren't cheap.  I did manage to come onto a used one a couple of years back and save a significant amount of money.  I think it was about $3,000 for this version 4 I have.

The cool thing about braille printing is that drivers aren't really necessary.  Set it up as text only and print to it with the right software and you're good to go.  The hardest thing is finding a usb to parallel or serial adapter that is something more than complete junk.  If you ever run onto an index basic, it might be worth your consideration.  I bought a used one, and I'm pretty happy with it.

If I access my messages through the Facebook site, they read just fine. But if I use the messenger web site, no messages are readable by Jaws.
