I have managed a few successful drag-and-drops with jaws but it is always a pain to get right. If the keyboard offers the same capabilities I will always choose that route, even if it means more work than a successful mouse drag would have been.

To create a folder in windows explorer first place focus in the left
hand tree view. Highlight the folder that you wish to be the parent of
the new folder and right click. Go down to "New' then select "Folder"
from the sub-menu. Type the name for the new folder and hit enter.

I am not sure what you mean when you say that you want the contents to
be created automatically.

I think he's referring to a message rule. I mention it because the term of art isn't familiar to everyone.

Doesn't WLM enable folder creation within the application, as Outlook does with shift-control-e in the folders list? Just a thought. I don't use WLM.

Re: Drag and drop with Jaws

HAMILTON

There is a "default" setting under "Keyboard Manager" within JAWS Utilities.
Unfortunately, I have removed what the "default" is, in my Keyboard Manager
settings, because I do not use it, and I cannot tell you what that was.

However, I would imagine that someone else will have that information still
within their settings.

Re: Drag and drop with Jaws

Bill White <billwhite92701@...>

Hi, Michal. Here are the steps to perform Drag and Drop from the JAWS Help Topics

Drag and Drop (CTRL+INSERT+NUM PAD SLASH)
This command is used to drag items from one location and drop them in another. Position the JAWS Cursor on the item you wish to move and press CTRL+INSERT+NUM PAD SLASH. You can leave the JAWS Cursor active, or you can switch to the PC Cursor. JAWS will keep speaking as you navigate. Once you have positioned the JAWS or PC Cursor in the location to which you would like to move the item, press CTRL+INSERT+NUM PAD SLASH again, and the item will be moved to the position of the active cursor.

I have managed a few successful drag-and-drops with jaws but it is always a
pain to get right. If the keyboard offers the same capabilities I will
always choose that route, even if it means more work than a successful mouse
drag would have been.

Since I am using Internet Explorer, and not FireFox, I checked again, and it
seemed to be another similar thing involving "TremendousCoupo". I finally
noticed a "close" button, and hitting that made it disappear - at least for
that time. Does anyone know how to stop this from popping up?

My settings are made to "block" all "pop-ups"; so, I would expect to see NO
pop-ups at all!.

Thanks.

I have managed a few successful drag-and-drops with jaws but it is
always a pain to get right. If the keyboard offers the same
capabilities I will always choose that route, even if it means more
work than a successful mouse drag would have been.

Wow! I thought that it would be much more. Would it indeed take more data
for video streaming, e.g. NETFLIX? Thanks.

That depends on the quality of the stream. I would say approximately 15-25

JAWS Friendly TV Tuner Software

Gary King

I am looking for JAWS-friendly TV tuner software with guide listings and recording capability. The guide listings in Windows Media Center no longer updated for my ZIP Code since July. I found some possible fixes for the problem with Google, but they all looked rather complicated. Microsoft is supposed to be working on a solution, but I won't hold my breath.

I recently downloaded the demo version of jaws 16 but discovered one defect: in a list of messages in thunderbird jaws doesn't announce the number of messages in a given folder or the number of the currently highlighted message, as nvda does. is there a way to configure jaws or thunderbird so this information is announced? thanks.
