moderated Weird problem with Mail app and JAWS

Lino Morales

OK I have a weird annoying minor problem. Every time I receive new mail with mail app JAWS will focus to the mail window. I don’t have this problem when running NVDA. Is anyone else experience this in WIN 10? I’m running JAWS 2020. The mail app with JAWS is a piece of work and I wish Vispero would work on it more.

Another way is, if you have a picture as a .JPEG or some other picture format save it somewhere, then copy / paste it into the Picture Smart folder and once it's pasted into this folder the Picture Smart feature will start on it as soon as it's pasted.  The Picture Smart folder is located in your User Name folder as a sub-folder of the My Pictures folder.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

Hi John and others,

For a picture on a website, you can right click or use the application key while focused on the image. Copy it to clipboard.

Then insert spacebar, P and B should describe the picture on the clipboard.

Hope this helps,

Thom

I think I am missing something here.  I too use my exchange accounts primarily however, when I do open my Gmail account using office 365, it does tell me how many unread messages I have.  Perhaps the query about message count means something else?

Pass Key Through is Insert + 3 on the number row

Does your computer have a numeric pad and are you using the desktop keyboard layout with Jaws or laptop layout?

If I press Insert + 3 on the numeric pad (that would be the Page Down key otherwise) Jaws reads the status line in Outlook, like this:

Items in View 15, Unread Items in View 14, Progress All folders are up to date. Connectivity to your server. Connected to: Microsoft Exchange, Zoom 100%
