Yes. I believe I remember the zoom setting somehow includes two pages or one page. On the status line,. It makes your life a lot easier to set it to one page. I prefer to work in print view, not draft view.

Go to the status bar with f6. There is a zoom setting that says something
about two pages. That needs to be set to one page. I don't have Office on

There is a way to remove the windows 10 upgrade button from the system tray. You Have to go in the control panel and axis the taskbar and system tray notifications settings. There you can disable the windows 10 upgrade button from being on the system tray.

I don't know if this would fix the issue or not.

Others have suggested permanently setting word to open documents in draft

I think I'll try these strategies first, and if they don't work, I'll try
adjusting the print view, as you suggest.

Hi,

I have an old digital music player whose library I want to copy to an external hard drive. Thesoftware to access that player is on my old Windows XP machineI'm trying to highlight all of several hundred music albums in mp3 format and copy them to my external hard drive. I've done a Control C and then gone to the external hard drive folder I want to dump them in and hit Control v.

Nothing seems to be happening as far as JAWS reading the contents of the file on the external hard drive.

Is it possible the transfer is going as desired or is it just not working? I don't know if I can expect to see progress as a transfer happens or if it will just sit there until it's done before it tells me anything.

Of course, I'm concerned the copy and paste approach may exceed the capability of the clipboard.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Hello Keith,

You will not see progress updates using Windows XP, in the same way you
would see them using Windows 7. If you Route your JAWS Curser to your PC
Cursor, and then arrow up and down through that dialogue, you can get a
since for what is going on. Good luck!

I hope this helps.

How to read a Macromedia screen?

Adrian Spratt

I just changed routers, which means reconfiguring Wi-Fi connections for, among other devices, my Brother HL-2270DW printer. To do this, I need to open the printer's Wi-Fi wizard, which I'm instructed to do either from the supplied CD or by using a certain page on the website. I can get nowhere with the online wizard. When I open the CD, all I'm told is that it's Macromedia. I can't read anything with the PC or JAWS cursor or Convenient OCR.

Any ideas?

Subject: Problem With Page Sequencing In Word 2010 Documents

Hello, everyone.

I have been noticing a strange problem lately with page sequencing in Word
2010 documents.

Many times, but not always: When I open a document, the pages seem to be
displayed next to each other in two-page groupings, as they would be if they
were in a printed book. In other words, I will see pages 1 and 2, followed
by 3 and 4, etc.

Once again, this does not always happen, but is happening more and more
often for me.

I can temporarily solve the problem by switching the document view to draft
mode, but this is a bit of a pain to have to do every time I experience this
issue.

How can I permanently configure Word 2010 to display document pages in the
usual vertical sequential manner again?

Am using Jaws 16 with Windows 7 here.

Thank you!

Re: latest Firefox version that supports adobe flash player

Bill White <billwhite92701@...>

Flash protected mode is a security feature for Firefox which is implemented by Adobe for Windows operating systems (Windows Vista/7/8 or above). This feature is enabled by default, to make it difficult for attackers to access your computer.

Flash protected mode might cause Flash performance problems in Firefox, such as persistent hangs or plugin crashes. This is especially true for users on Windows touchscreen devices and for users who use accessibility tools.

You can turn off Flash protected mode by following these steps:

1. Press Control plus l to open the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter.

. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.

2. Search for

dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode

in the list of preferences.

3. Press Enter on the preference to toggle its value from false to true.

4. Press CONTROL plus W to close the about:config window.

5. Close Firefox, and re-launch Firefox for the new setting to take effect.

I'm curious about turning off Flash and why we should disable it. Didn't
know labels worked better in Youtube without it. Thing is do we disable
or set to ask to activate?

I decided to look in to this. Found a checkbox for Flash in Firefox
that wasn't labeled so I read more and found something we should know
about. I'll paste it below without comment.

No, it's not a security issue. Like I said, if you had said you were

I have noticed that Firefox seems to crash a bit with video embedded
sites lately. Honestly, what I've found that helped me was installing
an add-on called Adblock. I installed it at the recommendation of a
friend, but when I did, almost all my crashing problems stopped. You
can download it at www.getadblock.com if you want it. It has fixed
most of my issues.

What I wrote regarding Firefox 40.0.3 was:

That should work. I thought you were going to say the buttons weren't
reading for you correctly, because that is often the case with Firefox.
Flash reads
better with Internet Explorer. If you're getting a message that
Flash is
disabled, it suggests that there is a security flaw in Flash and
Firefox
is blocking
access to it until Adobe releases a patched version of Flash. If it's
crashing, that's a beast of another color.
