Re: Accessible electronic password managers being used?
I have been using Roboform for probably at least 15 years and its iOS app is also accessible.

Hi List,
I'm preparing a presentation for late September where I'll discuss electronic password managers. While I intend to focus on KeePass, I also want to mention any others that folks are successfully using. The only criteria is that they be accessible and work both with a computer and a portable device. Another person will be presenting on 1Password so if anyone can offer other recommendations meeting my criteria, I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

I don't know of any others at the moment, but I just sent your message to another group and some other people may be able to give you more information and I told them to write you privately.

I have been using lastpass for a while now, and although it definitely
has some accessibility problems, I have managed to work around those. I was using keypass, but I could only use it on windows, the IOS and MAC stuff is either broken or not available, so I switched to lastpass instead so I could use it on all my devices. Hi, Try this. Press Windows key and then I. You should hear Settings. Tab once to System. Press enter. Tab once and then arrow down to Notifications and Actions. Press enter. You will see many apps with buttons you can press the space bar to toggle. One of these should be outlook. My guess is that by default, it is on. When you hear Outlook button on, press the space bar to toggle it off. Then alt f 4 to exit from settings. This should fix your problem. Larry

Dear Listers:
Yesterday my technician, while working on my computer, accidentally did something which has caused JAWS to read aloud an e-mail message every time it comes in, regardless of whether I am in Microsoft Outlook or not. I may be writing a letter or addressing an envelope, and all of a sudden JAWS starts reading an e-mail message to me aloud and interrupting whatever I am doing. Is there a way I can stop JAWS from doing this? Microsoft Outlook is my e-mail carrier. I am using Windows 10 and the latest update of JAWS 2020.
Thank you all for any help or advice you can give.

While in Outlook, Press alt+f then t for options. Arrow down once to mail and start tabbing. My guess is that the desktop message or whatever it is called got checked, and possibly other things in there.

Hi. Some one on the audio games net site did have windows 8.1. talking win pe. Where do I download it. Got the windows 7 talking pe, and then when I try to install via my external drive, says the file is incompatible. Can any one help. So either need the windows 8.1 or the windows 10 talking iso. Did try setting up the blind help project, and got the 64 bit version. And then waited for five or ten minutes. No speech came up. With the win 7 version, it does come up. So need this either for 8.1 or 10. Any one got this. Sorry. Have tried googling. And also how do I contact the owners of the audio games site. Did try to contact them, but they either don’t have an e-mail address or a form. Thanks.version

You may have to sign in to your one drive account. That is what
another person had to do.

Marvin,
If it does not come up talking, try plugging in a
thumb drive with NVDA, and try a few drive letters in the run window,
like:
e:\nvda\nvda
or f:\nvda\nvda
You just need to put a portable copy onto a thumb
drive in a folder called NVDA.

if JAWS is set to load as a service after Windows starts (JAWS is found in the system tray):
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
insert+j calls the UI for JAWS. the first item should be the options submenu. either press enter or the right arrow to open. if JAWS is set as an application (JAWS is found in the task bar (alt+tab keystroke)): insert+j calls the UI for JAWS. then press alt to activate the menu bar. the first item should be the options submenu. press enter to open. and proceed as you want.
