Re: Accessible way of listening to NFL games?

If you have an iOS device, you can buy the app Pro Radio for something like
$3.00. This is what I've used for the passed few years.
As far as something Jaws related, I have in the passed used Compass Sports
radio and have launched the radio feed for my team (Raiders) from their site
with no issues. It's pretty accessible. Totally dependant on your team
though.

Hi list,

I recently called NFL.com and was told they are still working on getting
some screen reader bugs out of their new system. What used to cost $39.95
is now $99.95, and they cannot say for sure if I could access the audio
feed. Does anyone out there have any ideas on accessible alternatives for
this audio content?

Re: Accessible way of listening to NFL games?

Dennis:

I find it interesting that you are getting regular season games on WBBM's
website. I live in Fort Worth and am a Dallas Cowboy fan. The Cowboys
broadcast games on 105.3 The Fan. During daily broadcast times, I can live
stream 105.3 from their website by clicking on the Listen Live button.
However, on Cowboys game day, the Listen Live button is not available for
three hours prior to, during the game and 3 hours after, the game.

Although I have never tried to get a Bears game by live streaming, I have
attempted to live stream Seahawks, 49ers, Packers and Patriots games,
without success. During the games, the live stream Listen Live buttons are
not available. I can assure you that neither the Chicago Bears nor the NFL
are aware that you are accessing their live stream during the game.

Also, there is no real need to bookmark all teams of interest. All 32 teams
websites are at the top of NFL.com and easily accessible.

a lot of the teams braudcast on they're websites. for example i listen to
the chicago bears games on wbbmam.com. some don't. you will just have to try
the website of the team you like. you can also, if you want to take the
time, find all the websites of all the teams and bookmark them all. i only
have two teams. chicago and tenasee. tenasee is braudcast on the radio where
i am and i listen to the chicago games on wbbmam like i said. this is the
only way to do this as far as i know. hope this helps.
good luck.

Re: Accessible way of listening to NFL games?

Harry Spencer <spencer-h@...>

I love Sirius for NFL content, music and news. They have a 24 hour NFL
channel plus they broadcast the radio feed for every game including
pre-season. In addition, I can choose from either team's radio feed so I get
to hear the Ravens announcers whining when the Steelers are kicking ...
sorry, I digress.

I have a push button receiver in my house run through my stereo. On game
day, I visit the Sirius NFL web page and JAWS reads me game time and the
channel to punch up. I think Sirius costs about $15 a month.

Re: Accessible way of listening to NFL games?

Hi Tim! There are some Apps out there that you can download that offer some
NFL feeds. Not all of them work, but you can start with All Football, which
is produced by a group called Red Ripe Media. Tune-in also provides some
streams, if you're interested in that. The other option is the Sirius XM
App, or Sirius XM on-line, which works better with JAWS than it did in the
past.

Deleting Queue Selections in Netflix, Using JAWS

Kevin Wollenweber <dancingweed@...>

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I was trying to delete a
couple of titles in my very long DVD queue on the Netflix website. Clearly,
I see the words REMOVE and DVD and UPDATE DVD QUEUE listed there, but when I
tried to delete anything, I still get the same number of titles.

Please give me a step-by-step instruction so I know what I'm doing wrong or,
worse yet, what JAWS isn't able to perform here!

Thanks.

Kevin

Drag and drop with Jaws

John J. Fioravanti, Jr.

Hi:
Can someone explain when you would use the "drag and drop" command rather
than simply copying an item and pasting it somewhere else?
Thanks.

Re: Cortana

HAMILTON

That was what it said when I went to that link. It seems to me that the
"brouser" wanted me to do something to confirm the "safety" of that site;
but, I now wonder if that was due to some malicious programme that I may
have picked up.

Meanwhile, I shall try this link again. If I get that same message, I will
try to look into it further, and let you know.

Thanks for your help.

Accessible way of listening to NFL games?

Tim Ford

Hi list,

I recently called NFL.com and was told they are still working on getting some screen reader bugs out of their new system. What used to cost $39.95 is now $99.95, and they cannot say for sure if I could access the audio feed. Does anyone out there have any ideas on accessible alternatives for this audio content?

Are there any "not free" packages that might work better than Avira, and still work well with JAWS? I have been assured, by people who supposedly know what they're talking about, that, in a sense, you get what you pay for, and I do not mind paying something to ensure greater security.

Avira products are smooth on installation and are fine during the use as well together with Jaws Cursor.
