I believe I have seen the keystroke for getting to desk top but cannot find
it now. When I minimize, I get start menu first and then desk top, and wish
to go straight to desk top. Does anybody know what this shortcut is?

At my job, we switched over to office 365, using the web based email
I'm unable to quickly navigate through the interface.

I can't remember what we used before lol, but I used to be able to
sign in, press x, to navigate from checkbox to checkbox and there was
a link for the subject, click it, read it, reply, rinse and repeat.
Now

I'm clueless!

All I can do is navigate heading-by-heading, and at times I get
lucky, am able to open up an email, but there is when the fun begins.
Reading the email, trying to forward, reply, even locating the send
button is a

chure!

I work for the school district, so I'm off for the summer and they
just switched over to office 365, and I'm trying to check emails from
home to get info about the possible strikes the teachers are
preparing for. Any tips on how to resolve this email issue?

You say press escape to go outside the message though didn't you? I know
already actually how to ad a sender to my contacts, I was just interested in
this method, which isn't working for me...

When you get an e-mail, outside it, say it came from sonny@bellsouth.net,
you press Control C, which is to copy. Then you go to Contact and press

OK, Keith. If I hit escape, I'm outside your message. So,
right there, I hit Control C; then Control 3 (to get to Contacts); then
Control V to paste in the new address. I think that in a list like
this, it is better to do it the old way to Alt 1 to the To field, copy
it, start a new e-mail just to have a place to get out the < and > and
list

But if you get an individual one, or you can even try with mine to
Escape, then hit Control C, then Control 3, then Control V. Then you'll
have the e-mail address. I did it with yours, and then deleted it;
somehow or other I deleted it twice, but it's out. Anyway, that is one
way that it can be done in Outlook 2013.

The good thing about the older harder way, I think, is a little more
control of the data.

hit Control C for copy, then Control 3 for Contacts, then Control V for

Your address is in my contacts, which I will delete, but my instructor
told me to practice what he taught, so I did that one. It definitely
works in Outlook 13 and is so easy! I hope it will work for you.

That it's in the applications/context list means it's an MS control,
not a JAWS command.

When I alt tab I hear running applications, how many are in the list,
the name of the focus application, but I do not know how to go through
the list so I can open up the desired program.

1. Press the Windows key, in the search field type, control panel.
2. Arrow down to, Control Panel, & press enter. This should put you in the
control panel.
3. Press the letter, P, until you land on, Power Options, & press enter.
4. Tab through the various options, & press enter on the 1 you want.

bit I hear something like maria's log-in, which is when I press the enter
key. JAWS and all else is well again after that.

Might your pc be going into hybernation or sleep mode? When I put
mine into hybernation, laptop shuts down, but I can get it back by
pressing power button then press enter for my log-in.
