moderated Financial tracking software that is relatively cheap and accessible! quicken sure was not.

Jenni Kent

Hi, I want software for money management where a I can connect to my online banking b its not a hundred bucks a year forty is nice c it actually works with jaws and doesn’t have outdated scripts from 2003.

My story begins yesterday when I looked for excel templates those just weren’t for me. I am not good with excel I just don’t know how to operate it with jaws. I will be honest.

So I got a tip on an offer for quicken. I grab it for thirty percent off on quicken deluxe. Forty bucks later I discover that the program is less than forth coming in the accessibility department and that’s with nvda and jaws 2020 this morning I requested a reason for this and they asked me what a screen reader was. I almost cried but then explained. They said there was nothing they could do and would I like a refund. I said yes. Because I am sorry that is so not cool. So I beg of you do yall know of anything that will do what I seek let me get stuff from my bank automatically and track when bills are due and the like oh and quicken wouldn’t even open a qfx file which it apparently used to open yeah I am not happy right now.

Please help me I suck at keeping this budget in my head.

Hi All,

I have just installed the new chrome edge (stable version).

Can anyone make sense of this so called new brilliant browser?

No matter what i do in settings, it still insists on using the “bing” virus as a search engine. I imported my settings from google chrome, and it ignored them completely.

It wont let me edit a profile.

However, it keeps adding them. Now i have “profile1” and “profile2”.

Has anyone got rid of this “thing” after installing it?

Can someone with a science degree tell me how to use this piece of what seems to be rubbish?

Sorry, i don’t mean to be sarcastic, but i am sick and tired of Microsoft saying that their things are great, only to find, that they just don’t work with jaws.

Hi,

Not surprised you are having trouble. I myself, only recently, had trouble
with installing jaws 2020. I had an authorization problem with windows 10.
Like you, i had to uninstall everything and reinstall everything.
Perhaps freedom scientific should look at this version of jaws again, and
take the bugs out of it.
God knows what else is wrong that hasn't been discovered yet.

the error that the gdihooks.dll is missing from my computer and to
reinstall the software. I finally got it to work removing all the

My guess is that if there are breakout sessions you will have to login into the session/room that you want to participate.

The Organizer should be sending out instructions and links to the separate rooms for you to choose from.

In other words I don’t think you can just split off to separate rooms while on the main session.

Hope this is clear.

Tomorrow morning, I will be participating in a Zoom conference that includes break-out sessions. I assume that there is a tab within Zoom that identifies break-out sessions, (I would think by number) from which I can select the one that I want to join. Is this how it works? I would appreciate some clarification regarding this scenario.

I seemed to have solved my problem.

I could not understand why when I hit the JAWS key page down to get the number of messages in my In Box, that I would get something like 8 messages when there were none.

Today I hit shift tab from my In Box list and found a button saying other In Box.  I hit that and other messages showed up.  Once I deleted those messages the key stroke works fine.  On another In Box I monitor, I had to shift tab several times until I found other check box not checked.  When I checked it the missing messages showed up.  To get back to the original In Box, shift tab until you find focus check box not checked and check it.

I do  not know if this is something with Office 360 or what, but I hope this may help someone else.

I had this exact issue.  You need to turn off formatting in Outlook.  You may need to do this for each Outlook folder since sometimes apply this view to all folders does not work.  Since I had trouble figuring where to turn this off, I did have the rep at the Microsoft Disability Help Desk do this for me.  All has worked since.  Sorry I cannot provide detailed steps to turn this off for you.

Hey guys!

I use Chrome, the new Chromium Edge, and another browser that might surprise you!

Water Fox is still a great browser, and it is so much like IE!

Water Fox is so simple to use, very fast, and very secure.

Also, another browser I use with JAWS, is the Brave browser.

It is so simple to use, great simple enterface, and it is very secure!

So, I use four different browsers for different situations!

For example, I use Water Fox for mobile facebook site, Chrome to fill out banking forms and the like, Edge, to read PDFs and to do searches, and Brave, to import my favorites to, because that browser is ver easy to organize your bookmarks, and also, Brave is really great if you want to play media on sites!

Have a great one, guys!

Hello, ıf you try to overview the responses coming to your Google form

If the detect tables does not work, another possibility is that layout
tables are causing you grief so make sure they are turned off.
Web sites have CSS in order to put text into columns and other cute
layouts,
but Mail generally ignores CSS functions for complex layout so designers
end
up using tables with multi row or multi column spans that can not
effectively be read column by column row by row, so the screen reader
ends
up either reading things repetitively or else skipping important
information.

Sometimes the mail will have a plain text alternative either in the same
message or in a subscribe button. This of course brings its own problems.

Morning all. Using W10 newest bill, Jaws 2020, newest bill and Googel Chrome. Lately when clicking on Chrome, Jaws takes 4-5 seconds to go to the search part, then if I hit the alt/F keys there is sometimes 10 seconds to get to another part so that a person can click on bookmarks. I am very seldom in a hurry to get anywhere, but this is getting really bad. Any thoughts?

List Rules

When:
Friday, 1 May 2020
12:00am to 1:00am
(GMT-04:00) America/New York

Description:
The following is the current version of the JFW Mailing List policies. These are sent out monthly, and also available from:

http://groups.io/g/jfw/wiki/List-Policies

**List Policies**

1: Keep it clean. We're a family list, and there are people here who probably don't want to hear everything *exactly* that's running through your head. If you wouldn't see it on TV, it doesn't belong in a post to the list. If you're not sure, email the administration before you post it to the list. Otherwise, you stand to see your posts moderated.

2: Stay on topic. We're a JFW-oriented list. That said, anything related to JFW, its functionality with programs etc is acceptable. If it doesn't have to do with JFW, it doesn't belong on the list. This includes, but isn't limited to, talk of other screen readers such as Window Eyes.

3: Listen to, and respect, the wishes of the admins/moderators. If you're asked by an admin or moderator to drop a subject, or take something to private emails (in the instance of two people carrying on a thread list-wide), please do so. If the subject is changed on a thread by an admin or moderator, it will be explained why in the email sent out with it. Please don't continue replying to the old subject.

4: Don't ask over the list for a position on the list administration. If you'd like to help out, it's of course welcome, but address the request to do so to the admin team, otherwise it'll be ignored. Requests are always welcome, whether help is being looked for or not. When help is needed, a post will be made to the list. The requests already received will be kept in mind.

5: Keep flaming to a minimum. This is not limited to flaming of each other, but goes beyond that, to flaming of products, opinions, ideas, suggestions, etc. Constructive criticism never hurts. Flame wars, especially public ones, both drive people from this list and are unwelcome here. either take the problem to private emails, or report the problem to list administration.

6. Respect the opinions and views of others. This is *very* important in any environment, most especially an online environment where the only gage one has on a person is what that person puts to writing. If you come off as hostile in your posting, whether you intended to or not, people will take it as such. Online, "face value" means just that. People make mistakes, people don't always have access to the same information you do. For that matter, people don't always have the same experience you do. If you know how someone can solve their problem, great. Suggest it to them and/or the list. Do *not* proceed to tell someone, on or off list, that they have no business posting. Repeat offenders of this particular rule will be banned for a week to 30 days, depending on the severity. Serious problems will be banned permanently.

As always, if there are problems or questions with regards these policies, don't hesitate to send them off-list to jfw+owner@groups.io

James,
List Admin
