Mr. Kennedy is correct that no matter how many times you subscribe using the same e-mail address you are simply subscribed.  If you were to send 10 subscribe requests you won't get 10 copies of every message, because accounts are based on an e-mail address used when subscribing, and those accounts are unique.

There are plenty of instances where Groups.io, or any e-mail list service, or any individual e-mail user, may end up waiting a long time for a given message to make it anywhere, because all it takes is one "constipated server" in the bucket brigade to cause whatever lands on it to stay there until the issue is fixed.  The list server software itself can also encounter issues.

Waiting it out for a reasonable period of time, which is many hours to a day, is the way to go before starting to check on whether things are OK, and if they're not sending messages to any group will prove nothing, as they will be held.  Send a message to support@groups.io, and only after at least 12 hours have passed, if not more.  These kinds of "burps" simply happen, and do tend to get fixed by the powers that be.

I have no idea about whether you can choose a different folder, but for Jaws 2020, you will find them in this location:
"C:\ProgramData\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\2020\Settings\enu\SOUNDS"

Hey guys:
When I add an entry into the default.jdf dictionary file,
One of the options is to play a sound rather than replace the word,
My question is,
I see the list of sounds, but,
In what folder are these sounds located, and,
Can I choose another folder for jaws to use for sound to be played?

For automatic row height adjustment, it's alt h then o then a.

To manually adjust row height, it's alt h then o then h.

For automatic column width, it's alt h then o then i.

To manually adjust column width, it's alt h then o then w.



My Jaws versions of 2018 and 2019 don't always respond to these commands so I press alt h then tab to cells format then press enter, and I can choose between row height, column width,etc with the up and down arrows. Or sometimes I'll restart Jaws, but that doesn't always help either.

Not saying it is, of course, but if it 8was* your own regional accent that was being talked about, you wouldn’t really be aware of it and how it sounds to others as to you it’d just be the default state of speaking. When  people from other parts talk about the accent they hear and especially attempt to imitate what they are hearing, what comes out tends to be an exaggeration or caricature. This is why in early drama school and such they tell you not to try putting on accents when attempting to play a character., Some people do get really good at it (See Peter Sellers for instance, thougha s a comic actor exaggeration was also one of his things).

I’m not sure why that is, but the vast majority of people here in the U.S. say about, not aboot.

IN fact, most U.S. natives make fun of the Canadians for saying aboot.

I was chatting with someone from New Zealand and she told me some of her compatriots were mimicking the  U S accent. Thus it is not just the screen reader voices, it is Different nations voices.  Example, apparently Canadians and United States persons say aboot instead of about, according to the woman in N Z.   

Hi. I'm using Winamp version 5.66 with JAWS 2020. Occasionally, winamp will stop giving me the track number, title, and artist as I use the B command for next track, or the Z command for previous track. Once this happens, I have tried many things including,

1. Rebooting the computer.

2. Reinstalling Winamp.

3. Restarting JAWS.

4. Repairing JAWS.

Sometimes, for no apparent reason, Winamp, after exhibiting this behavior will suddenly begin voicing track number, title, and artist again.

Have other people experienced this behavior with Winamp, JAWS and Windows 10? If so, have you found any way to get JAWS to begin voicing track number, title, and artist again when it stops doing so?

And knowing some of those blind people, I still cannot comprehend how they comprehend what they're hearing.  Clearly they do, but my head (auditory processing, in particular) reels at the speech rate that some of my clients routinely use for themselves.  I have on more than one occasion had to ask someone I was tutoring on something new to them in the screen reader to greatly reduce the speed so that I could be sure that what I expected to hear was what I was indeed hearing!
