OK, feeling like a dummy, but what I actually wanted to do was replace the
single blank line between paragraphs with two blank lines. The document is
long and doing it a paragraph at a time would be a drag. Thanks

I don't use the wild card option.

1. press control + h

2. enter in the find box carot+t

3. enter in the replace box carot+t followed by another carot+t

You must have the Wildcards option turned on in the find and replace
dialog.
Then, to find all tabs, put either ^t or ^9 into the find dialog.
Put a
space into the replace dialog. The caret character is the shift of
the six
key on the numbers row (not the NumPad at the right of the main
keyboard).

Control+H to open the change dialog
Caret+t (^T) for the find string
space for the replace string
Alt+A to change all.

Then I recommend you replace any double spaces with singles and repeat as often as necessary to get rid of all duplicates.

I don't know, but it may be due to DMARC compliance. DMARC is a relatively new
message authentication system used to distinguish legitimate mail from spam.

It creates difficulties for mailing list servers that modify messages received
from subscribers before redistributing them, without changing the address in
the "from" field and adding a digital signature. At least one large e-mail
service provider (Yahoo) requires recipient mail servers to reject all
messages purportedly originating from their users which fail DMARC validity
tests.

For further details about DMARC, visit https://dmarc.org/

Subject: my name doesn't appear in posting

for some time, whenever I post/reply to this list, the post I recieve has
main@jfw.groups.io instead of my name. this also happens with another list I
subscribe to, obviously respective to the address to which the post goes to.
why does this occur?

however, I am subscribed to another list where my name shows up when I
recieve the post.

Mario,

This is just how the list manager is set up. It actually helps to keep your
email address hidden. Other than that, it is up to the discretion of the
list owner.

Re: Jaws 16 and PDF unreadable document

Hi, I use Robobraille.org all the time to convert empty documents from pdf and other hard to read docs.  You can send an email to convert@... and attach the pdf or whatever you have to the email and in the subject line, state what you want to have the conversion to be such as txt or doc.  Hope this helps.
I have pdf sent to me often and when I run it with the adobe program, it comes back as empty doc.  I send it to robobraille and 90% of the time, it get it back within 5 minutes.  Andy and Shubert

You can use this free service to convert any unreadable pdf to another readable format. Just upload your file of under 64 megabytes, follow the steps listed on the website, and robobraille will email you back the converted document within 30 minutes.

Subject: Jaws 16 and PDF unreadable document

Hi All

My microwave broke; I purchased a new one; downloaded the manual which is a PDF from the Defy website.

Jaws only reads funny things that obviously make no sense.

How does one convert/change such a PDF to a one that Jaws can access with ease as is the case with many other PDF documents?

Thanks.

Renette
