Thanks. I’ll have to check those out. I’ve just now installed Luna Rss and that works with Fs Cast also.

This is correct I have stopped using Cast because of this. Speak On is a good free alternative which is till being maintained in terms of database search.

You would certainly find no difficulty locating FSCast from a number of sources in the program.  There is an optional `

`  additional app called VI Podcast which you can download from within the app This supports    the main Podcast and TuneIn radio apps. These main Podcast and Tune In radio apps  use different databases for accessing Podcasts.

FSCast is a pre-selected podcast feed in the VI Podcast app though of course you could also find it in the Podcast app.

You will also in the VI Podcast app find my series of audio demonstrations on how to use Speak On and  I recommend yo listen to at least the episode on using Speak On and Podcasts as there is a learning curve although it is very powerful.  However in the audio demonstration  I say that \FSCast does not work in the VI Podcast app but this has actually since been corrected.

Milton,
How did you get the version number?
I tried with Jaws and got a big nothing.

Hi Richard,

When you first open Team viewer, you will need to tab down to a field that says: “Your ID:” and provide the person that will control your computer the digits in that field.

Tab to: “Password: and provide the password that is generated.

This only will work if you are using the Team Viewer as a free version. I’m not sure what happens if you purchased a license.

Once the person connecting to your computer has entered those pieces of information they should be connected and be able to take over. You should be on the phone if there is something specific that you are looking for help with if the person is not very familiar with your computer setup. You don’t have to unload JAWS and if you need to take control, the helper can let you take over and you don’t need to disconnect.

I hope this is helpful information.

At least, between Teamviewer and Skype he was able to direct me to the braille driver that was getting in the way.

You should be on the phone if there is something specific that you are looking for help with if the person is not very familiar with your computer setup. You don't have to unload JAWS and if you need to take control, the helper can let you take over and you don't need to disconnect.

I hope this is helpful information.

Teamviewer is not very accessible at all, and the Jaws command to identify the version just says "version" with no information.

I couldn't figure out how to give access to a technician to take control of my computer and could barely deal with the connection.

At least, between Teamviewer and Skype he was able to direct me to the braille driver that was getting in the way.

But I would say that whatever the current version of Teamviewer is, it isn't very accessible.

The combination of Skype and Teamviewer allowed him to direct me to what

But, Teamviewer could use some help and/or Jaws scripts.

Hi Richard,

When you first open Team viewer, you will need to tab down to a field
that says: “Your ID:” and provide the person that will control your
computer the digits in that field.

Tab to: “Password: and provide the password that is generated.

This only will work if you are using the Team Viewer as a free version.
I’m not sure what happens if you purchased a license.

Once the person connecting to your computer has entered those pieces of
information they should be connected and be able to take over. You

Hi,

Using latest FileZilla and Jaws along with W10 64 bit but not with the 2004 update as yet.

I use FileZilla to visit an FTP site with lots of folders, including folders within folders,  and have a problem with  FileZilla sometimes starting in tree view rather than the desired list view. Shutting down F Z and restarting once or twice often gives the desired result.

Is there a command in FileZilla where the display can be forced to change from tree view to list view without shutting down the program and starting again?

Thanks

Tom

When tree view is encounted  the only way seems to be to shut down FileZilla and restart it again.

you are using the nemith code numbers for the numbers as dot 2 for the number 1, dots 23 for the number 2 and so forth along with the dot 7?

HI folks,

I have an Orbit Reader 20 Plus braille display, running with latest
Jaws2020 on Windows 10. From it's own manual it says that pressing
the Dot 7 Plus computer braille 1 through 0 equals F1-F10. The keys
that are supposed to emulate the F1 through F10 keys do not work at
all, not in any application. Or is this something on my own system I
need to change to get this to work??

Thanks,

If you mean one you've just downloaded in Chrome, then use the Open Folder command for that file.

Any file, once File Explorer is open and there is focus on that file, can have its full path (which includes its name at the end) using the Copy Path command that's part of File Explorer itself.  ALT+H,CP.

As an example, this is what I get for one of my downloaded files (and it includes the double quotes):  "C:\Users\brite\Downloads\0314policyforumff.pdf"

When I am using chrome and do a download after the download has completed when chrome is in focus do a shift f6 and that puts you on the name of the downloaded file.  So because I work a lot with log analysis programs like splunk and the downloaded files are csv files then all I do is when the filename is in focus hit the space bar and the file is opened up.

But again that is with chrome.

Have a good day.

I currently am running the latest version of Windows and am also using the latest version of JAWS.  If you download something without designating a path, how do you go about finding out what folder your download is in?  I know that you search for something by opening up the Search box by pressing the Alt key, but although this finds the file you are looking for it doesn’t tell you what folder that file is in.
