I presume this is a transient alert, too.  But if it isn't, it should end up in the Action Center if you don't get to it while the notification is initially presented.

You can also change the length of time that notifications remain presented:  Settings, Ease of Access, Display Pane, Show notifications for dropdown.

The controls you want to access are buttons. Navigate buttons in a couple
ways:



JAWS for Windows Navigation Quick Keys B and SHIFT-B

Display a list of buttons CTRL-JAWS KEY-B, select a button, and press ENTER



Here are the steps you need:



1. Open the Facebook Home Page www.facebook.com
<http://www.facebook.com>;
2. Locate the "What's on your mind" button and press SPACEBAR to
activate it



The new post page opens.



1. Navigate to the "More" button and press SPACEBAR to activate it
2. This opens a small dialog with more buttons
3. Navigate to the "Live Video" button and activate it with SPACEBAR



That opens the Live producer. This is where you can create a live video.

I am probably late to this thread, but are you using the temporary marker hot key control+windows+m? then insert+space followed by m, then control+c?

I have never had it not copy.

I have had it copy more than I wanted.

If it isn’t going to work, I get a message that it couldn’t place the temporary marker.

While I too use m.facebook.com because it’s not much of an obnoxious
setup, it is a somewhat buggy and very stripped down way of accessing facebook.
There are just some things that you either can’t do or that are very
inconvenient.

If you have a list of stuff, for instance, like your friends, you’ll
have to keep hitting ‘see more” over and over again just to see a few
more entries appear. It is very annoying if say you have hundreds of
friends and you want to go through them all to perhaps take out the
trash, if you know what I mean.



Anyway, I can’t tell from these messages what it is exactly you want to do?
What things are giving you the most issues/frustrating you the most,
that yout hink you should be able to do or have seen others do? Maybe
that’s a good starting point.



As for docs, I’m not sure there really are any except the help
available from facebook itself. Look for “help centre”; it should be
near the bottom of just about every m.facebook.com page. Alt-shift-0
is supposed to be a quick way of getting there and indeed it works for
me, but it might not for you depending on your setup – I personally
like these kind of web-page specific hotkeys sometimes but not
everyone does and obviously mobile browsers and such don’t support
them, so some developers consider them a “bad accessibility crutch”.

I too have a huge time getting around out on face book via both JAWS
and or NVDA.

Even though my brother who’s also a jaws user, has a better time out
on face book than I do.

I’ve been thinking of pulling my face book account down, since I don’t
use it all that much.

But, if I can get some advice from a fellow JAWS user to make it more
accessible, than I’ll probably use it more often.

When making this settings change in a browser and using the Jaws quick settings feature, this should only effect the way text is copied while on the internet using this particular browser.  Each browser needs to be set-up individually using the same steps.

 

Making this settings change in a browser shouldn't change the way text is copied from a program like Word, but should only effect the way text is pasted into a program like Word since only the text is copied and then pasted.

 

Whenever you use the Jaws quick settings feature, Insert + V, while in any application this settings change is application specific to only this application and should not effect any others.

It’s interesting.

I went into google and changed to virtual view.

Now all of a sudden, all my issues with copying, cutting, and deleting text in a web browser and in Word went away.

This setting seems to work on all programs; is this correct?

I’m using Jaws 2020 and Windows 10 latest update.

 

Using Jaws 2018, copy, cut, and delete seemed to work, without my changing any setting.

But in 2020 the other setting does not work at all, but virtual viewer does.

This seems to have solved many issues with cutting, copying and deleting text.

Here's a setting that you might want to switch to in Jaws quick settings if you haven't already.

 

Note, just to clarify:  If you choose the, From Virtual Cursor option, this will copy the text without formatting.
If you choose the, Full Content Using Onscreen Highlight  option, this copies the text with formatting.
