moderated Zoom waiting room with JAWS2020

Hello,
I am having an issue with the waiting room in Zoom where I am not able
to find the participant to admit or JAWS announces that the
participant list is open but the waiting room participants are not
able to be located. I need to keep the waiting room setting enabled as
I am using this in a work environment. Would the Zoom professional
scripts from Hartgen consultancy resolve these issues?

Hello,
I have noticed this change for quite some time now and the solution to
this has been to download the pdf's.
I went into the settings and changed the behavior so that all pdf's
would download and then I can read them in Acrobat reader DC.
I do not recall what setting it is but i do remember Googling it.

Hi, Shirley. First, you need to make sure that Adobe Acrobat DC is your default pdf reader. You can do this by typing default apps into your search box using the Windows key.

 

After that, all you do is click on the attachment, and TAB to open. Because Acrobat DC is your default adobe reader, the attachment will open in Acrobat Reader by default when you click Open.

Optasia has Bible Dictionaries.

They do not have an actual English concordance, but if you go into the reference section you can look at all the Greek or Hebrew words in any passage.

Haven’t found a good way to get a list of passages using the same Greek or Hebrew word.

Pressing ALT+SHIFT together, should switch between the 2 keyboard layouts. If you have more than 2 keyboard layouts, press and hold down the ALT key and tap the SHIFT key. By doing this repeatedly, you will cycle through the installed keyboard layouts. One word of caution, if you are using a European keyboard, use the left ALT+SHIFT key combination, this is because, on European keyboards, the right ALT key, is used as a modifyer key for accent characters and other characters, used in European languages.

Age has little to do with the software working well or not. Sometimes older software works better than the latest greatest.

          Google did no one any favors when they repurposed the name Google Docs to apply to their web equivalent of MS-Word after having used it for what is now called Google Drive (and has been for several years).

           Google Drive is, quite simply, cloud storage.  Think of it as a disk drive in the sky.

           Google Docs is the Google web version of the MS-Word (and similar) word processors.

           Since I do not know whether you want something truly as a Google Doc, as opposed to a file of any type stored on the cloud using Google Drive (and likely shared in some way), I can't tell you which you should be using.  But based on what I've said here, you should know.

            I'll be happy to provide more detailed step-by-step instructions, if needed, for the direction you need to go.  My guess is you won't need them, except perhaps for sharing on Google Drive, and maybe not even then.

Impressed that so many are successfully working with MS Teams. I'm

Using Win 10 JAWS 18. I've listened to the You tube videos and
checked out the Microsoft link, provided on list. What should be
happening, in order to join a meeting is not consistent. Supposed to
be able to hit enter on the MS Team calendar entry and have it open,
revealing the join link, but I get dead silence when I do this.
I've made sure that the virtual PC is enabled, but don't know what

            If you're just trying to upload it so that other people can download it, then you literally just activate the New button in the Google Drive window (I'm presuming web interface here) and you'll be given a context menu that includes File Upload.  You'd select that and go through the usual steps with Windows to navigate to and select the file you wish to upload.

            If you're talking about actually creating a Google Doc, then you'd follow the above up to the New button, but go to Google Docs in the context menu and select the Blank Document option from its submenu.  Then copy all of your original Word document, paste it in to the Google Doc, then save it.

            I have scads of actual MS-Word documents on Google Drive, but don't use Google Docs itself to create and edit documents.

Optasia has Bible Dictionaries.

They do not have an actual English concordance, but if you go into the reference section you can look at all the Greek or Hebrew words in any passage.

Haven’t found a good way to get a list of passages using the same Greek or Hebrew word.
