Hi Judith,

The, 0, on the numpad is the Insert / Jaws key.  So, you want to hold down the, Insert / Jaws key / 0 + Page down / 3, to get the information you're looking for.
Take care.  Mike.  Go Dodgers!

It's worth noting that the repair option really isn't much of a repair
option. All it does is remove JAWS and then reinstall it. Saves you a couple
extra steps, but if you've tried a manual reinstall before running the
repair, don't bother running the repair. And if you've already run the

PDF Page Advancement Problem Solved

Tom Behler

Hello, all.

I want to report that I believe I've solved my problem of not being able to advance beyond the first page of a PDf document using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Thanks to a suggestion by a member of the Jaws users list, the strategy of using Convenient OCR to convert the document, and then copying and pasting into Notepad has definitely worked the best.

I had to take some time cleaning up the resulting files, but things now appear to be fairly readable.

Thanks, all,  for your patience as I sorted things out.

It's entirely possible that the graphics change, depending on the view
you're in, or whether they are highlighted, or adjacent to other graphics.
Simply the graphic changing color slightly could cause it to not match your
labeled graphic. I gave up trying to label graphics, since it takes a lot of
work, and often they change for very innocuous reasons.

Let me try again.  The open option appears in a listing like Documents.  When the document is highlighted, it should appear under Open With.  This came along in Word 2013.  If you’re reading for content only, change the view to read-only (on the far left of the view menu), and it’ll go smoother.

Hello, everyone.

I am having a problem reading a few PDF articles I have just been sent.

Once I open the attachments, via Adobe Acrobat DC, I find that I cannot advance beyond the first page of each article, either via the arrow keys, or the page up and page down keys.

Interestingly, when I use my arrow keys and the page up or down keys, the visual sscreen advances with no problem.  In other words, Jaws appears to be  stuck on the first page and is unable to advance through the rest of the file.

I’m using Windows 7 and the latest build of Jaws 18 here, along with Adobe Acrobat DC.

Any suggestions would be apreciated.
