I am using Windows 10, MS Word 2016 and JAWS 2020.  I have a very large MS Word document with many graphics.  Is there a way to select all the graphics at once, and then delete them?

Based on the website it appears the free version is no longer supported. The currently supported version is approximately $50 U. S.

1.     Open PDF-XChange Viewer from your start menu or the desktop.

2.     ALT+F, O  Open a file, you’ll need to know where it is and navigate there in the Open Dialog, which is very much like Windows Explorer.

3.     CTRL+SHIFT+C  Perform optical character recognition on the file.  This will be quick for small files, 20 pages or less, but will take some time for very large files, hundreds of pages.  Listen for the process to complete.

4.     ALT+F, S  Save the file over itself with the OCR text now included.  If you wish to save the file under a different name and keep the original use ALT+F, A Save As to do this instead.

You're not.  The paste into Groups.io looked perfect, but once it went through the posting process it was hosed.

I you are using a Microsoft Account Linked Windows 10 User Account the
easiest thing to do is open Settings, Accounts, and in the Your info

after it's reset there.

Hello, I’m using the most recent versions of Jaws2021, Office2016 and windows10. I had problems for a week when using Outlook2016. I did a update and repair on office2016. That took care of the Outlook problem. Days later I now have a problem when flipping from a web site and Ms word. If I move to quickly between the web site and MS word Jaws will crash. Has anyone encountered this problem? Any thoughts of something I can do to correct the problem? Thanks, Kevin

Hi,

  There are a lot of oddities with Outlook and JAWS.  I have not experienced this particular issue however JAWS crashes more , since new version, with Outlook.

As Outlook is a very reliable and stable program I am prone to believe the problem lies with JAWS.

Hopefully JAWS will seek out Microsoft to troubleshoot and fix these annoying issues.

I have to do a say line or say word back and forth to make sure I haven’t deleted too much or simply find out where I am. Same goes for pressing the delete key to erase the current character. The odd thing is that if I backspace or delete in a subject line of an appointment or the different files for time date or location, Jaws behaves as always by announcing the deleted characters. When I’m in an outlook message composing a message, the deletion behavior usually works fine. The few times where I’ll experience the deletion silence in an Outlook message is if I immediately compose a message right after closing a calendar appointment or work on some copied and pasted text from the notes section in the body of an email. Even when I’m in the actual notes tab of Outlook, everything works as expected with Jaws speaking what I’m deleting when in a note.

This behavior is on both my machines so I’m pretty sure it’s not something particular to one computer’s set up and again, it only started after Jaws 2021 came out.

Is anyone else dealing with this by any chance?

moderated Trouble with selecting deleting text with JAWS 2021

Dear all,
I use JAWS 2021 on a Windows 10 machine.
In notepad, JAWS does not speak when I either read/ select word by
word or I back space to delete some text.
Only option is to restart JAWS. However, this problem occurs
repeatedly, making restarting an irritating option.
I have updated to the latest update of JAWS 2021.

If you are wanting to switch your primary function keys back to doing f1
through f12 instead of other functions such as other computer functions;
Try using fn key plus escape. On many laptops, this toggles your function
key primary functions.

Can anyone tell me, is it possible for a totally blind person to access the
bios on a computer? If so, how do I do this? My laptop's keyboard got
replaced today (the down arrow key broke) and somehow my function keys got
inabled when they'd previously been disabled. I know we could just take it
back and have them disable them, but they're closed until Monday and I'd
like it fixed ASAP. My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkbook 13. I'm running the
latest Jaws and Windows 10.
