Hi Shannon,

I've come across the problem with accessing multiple attachments before, and was able to get around it by turning off a setting in Outlook called Attachment Preview.

Go to the Options dialogue with Alt, F, T.

Press T until you're on Trust Center, then Alt + T to open a second dialogue.

UpArrow once to Attachment Handling, and then Tab to a checkbox labelled Turn Off Attachment Preview and check it.

OK out of both dialogues.

Does that make a difference?

Bill, Dave Tony, George.

Something is wrong here.

I have an email that has seven attachments. Only one of them is the one I need. There are

6 junk attachments that are jpegs of some signature cards, a couple of html copies of previous messages and one is the pdf I am looking for.

I can’t arrow across or up or down past the second one. I keep getting stuck and Jaws  says focus lost.

I don’t want to have to save all the junk onto my system only to have to print it and sign and re-scan.

This is not the first time this has happened to me.

Even when there is only one real attachment Jaws announces that there are two when I alt tab into the attachments field.

Anyone know why  it would be behaving like this?

Outlook 2010 and Jaws 18 and or Jaws 2018.

Thanks

Shannon

Hi, Shannon. I use Windows 10 with JAWS 2018. I am having no trouble reading multiple attachments with Outlook 2010. I do the following.

1. Open Outlook2010.

2. Shift TAB to the attachments list.

3. Use Right and Left Arrows to advance or go backward through the attachments list.

4. Press ALT + F, followed by M to save attachments.

5. Follow the prompts to save. Then press the OK dialog.

This should save all attachments in the message.

What is the trick?

Insert A does  not get me into the attachments list as the help says it will.

So what do I do?

Does Jaws 16 support Chrome?

Lee Maschmeyer

Hi folks,

Somehow my Internet Explorer went AWOL so I used this as an excuse to switch to Chrome. But it's not working very well. The most flagrant malfunction is the Detroit Symphony's site for webcasts, dso.org/live. I can't see anything on this site. If I leave off the "/live" it seems to work but this needs more investigation. But the /live page ought to work and doesn't. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bob,
I did make a review when they had asked me to rate my experience.
I told them of my troubles.
I did get a response, canned but a response. I then wrote back and filled in
a bit more about the screen reader, the web browsers I tried and some of the
navigation problems.
I can only hope that they do send it to the developers and use it.
I can tell you that the IOS app works A LOT better if that is something you
have access to.
It was terrible but now is much better.
So someone must have listened to customer feedback.
With luck they are still listening when it comes to the windows based access
to the platform.

It has been getting better, but it is still a pain. After clicking on an
item you want in your cart try "Control home" which should get you to a
section allowing you to select quantity and then allow you to add it to the
cart as well as make it a favorite. One other thing I discovered is that if
you start off using your favorites list and then want to jump back to the
search box you have to alt left arrow and then drop down to the search box.
I've only used it twice and the service was good, bummer about their less
than accessible web site.

I found myself lacking a few things for my contribution to Thanks Giving.

I thought I would order from Instacart and have the missing items delivered
to me at work so I had them when I go home.

What an ordeal!

The web page was only navigable with the tab key. None of the quick nav keys
worked. It kept edititing the search field when I tried.

I couldn't seam to get the buffer to come back.

I tried it with Chrome, IE, and Jaws 18 and Jaws 2018.

I have auto forms mode turned off and it is set to manual.

The escape key would not do anything to allow me to read the page. You have
to tab your self silly!

And when you press on the very verbosely labelled button for add, a window
popps up with the picture of the item. You have to get that closed to move
on. Don't hit alt f4 because it closes the browser.

Has anyone used this with success? I was getting so frustrated I asked for
help to finish.

Is it just me or is that site built badlly?

Is there a trick? I thought this might be a really nice and convenient thing
but if it is that hard to do, no way!!

I tried it on the iphone with the app and it was also horrible.

Thanks

Shannon

Hi again, Jed. I have all my bookmarks in a folder which I created. I called it General. When I use CONTROL plus SHIFT plus B, it says show all bookmarks. If I arrow up and down, I get General and Feeds. Since all my bookmarks are in General, I press ENTER on General, and it says tree view. Then I can arrow up and down through my bookmarks.

ok then how do you get to your master list of bookmarks? This is what
i don't get. It makes no sense what so ever. I tried control shift
B, and it said show all bookmarks, but none of them are there. The
only way i can seem to get to them is go to bookmarks, then just arrow
down through all 300 plus of them. What am i missing. Can you go
through step by step, cause obviously something isn't right. All i
see is all these bookmarks toolbars and other useless junk that
doesn't get me to where i want to go.

I'm just really confused because of all of these tool bars and other
useless junk. All i want is a list of all my bookmarks. When i hit
control j this is exactly what i see.

I see history, downloads, tags and it says all bookmarks open. I have
over 300 bookmarks that i know about but i can not see a complete
list. How do i get to all of them. When i go to all bookmarks i tab,
and i get bookmarks toolbar. then it says name only edit bookmarks
toolbar. What am i missing here.

clickable elements on a page not working

Jed Barton <jedbarton@...>

Hey guys,

OK, not sure what to make of this. I am using the latest jfw and
firefox. I am on a webpage, and there are all kinds of buttons that
say clickable. When i press enter on them, nothing changes on the web
page. Any ideas how to interact with these buttons? I've tried
pressing enter, nothing. I routed jaws to PC and done a left mouse
click, nothing. Any ideas guys?
