This is my first SMA, so forgive me if you’ve answered something like this before.

 

I have an SMA good beginning with JAWS 2018.

 

Will I just receive a DVD in the mail without any warning, or do they Email me letting me know that the DVD has shipped?

Hi Randy: Setting refresh to never did not help.

 

My issue seems to be about scrolling, particularly where there pictures involved. In say all mode, as the cursor gets to the bottom of the page, there seems to be a lot of flipping going on. The reading seems to be OK except that jaws might do a little more repeating of lines already read.

Open the browser then press insert +6. Then type page refresh. Now change this to never. You will want to change it back when not on the pages that are causing you problems. This is how VFO recommends dealing with pages that update frequently.

When you start a post on the front page of the mobile Facebook site, there is a “More” link beneath the edit field.

Activate this “More” link to open the “Create Post” page. This opens a page through which you can take actions on the post. One of the links on the page is “Tag Friends.”

The “Tag Friends” link opens a page with a search field through which you can search for friends to tag and checkboxes for each friend. Toggle the checkboxes for the friends you’d like to tag.

Hi Donna  I need to explained to you better ,for example  when I write something in edit box then I tab to post button  thenwhile I’m still on profile page I scroll down to the post I send then I open it then arrow down to look for tag links so I don’t hear it then I arrow down to share links press enter it’s say share on your timeline then I press tab down where I hear add tag people  I don’t want to used share post on m.facebook.com   I want to tag people without share  I want used tag only without share  tag !! Do you understand ?

Okay thanks Randy. I’ve been planning on getting jaws 2018 but just haven’t gotten around to downloading  and installing it.

I did receive a message back from VFO with a link for an upgrade to fix the problem, similar to the update that corrected the issue in Jaws 18.  This update does not show up when you go to update Jaws normally, as the problem only effects certain builds of Office 365.

I believe if you go to the Jaws web site and and download the latest version of Jaws 2018 and install it, your issue will be fixed as mine is.

Yes, this type stuff gets frustrating when a problem finally gets fixed and then is broken again in future releases. I have a similar issue with excel and it becoming very sluggish at times and almost unresponsive. This was present in early releases of JAWS 18 and 2018 and was fixed. Now the official release of 2018 has it back again

Jaws 2018 has brought back the Outlook Office 365 problem when typing in email addresses.  If you start typing in email addresses, the name is not spoken and you cannot arrow down through a list of people beginning with that letter.

The last beta of Jaws 2018 was working correctly with email addresses.  I hope there is a quick fix, like the one they rolled out for Jaws 18 that you could download if you were having this problem.  I did verify that Jaws 18 is still working correctly with Outlook Office 365 version.

I an off to VFO to report the problem.

I'm using Jaws 18.04321 and am curious about Jaws 2018.  My check for updates says that i'm using the latest version of Jaws.  How do I get 2018 and is there any difference?
