Hi, In short, the culprit is a new UIA event, as the previous method isn’t used in recent updates to Calculator app. Last time I read, a fix is on its way for JAWS 2018, and I think it should make its appearance for at least 18.0 users. Cheers, Joseph

Calling Technical support for JAWS won’t matter much, as they are already aware of this issue, and it should be fixed in JAWS 2018 in fifteen days or so. If you want to ask them about a JAWS 18 update which fixes your issue, you might call them with that issue.

Bill, i've got to be very careful, as the keys on this hp laptop are very close together, and not spaced out very well.

Remember, Val, you can always get a USB keyboard, plug it in, and stay away from the laptop keyboard on your laptop, if that feels more comfortable for you. By the way, on the laptop, it is the fifth key from the left, if the ESCAPE key is the first key on that top row.

If it's a laptop, usually the ESCAPE key is to the left of F1, making F4 the fifth key in from the left.

I have the same issue, occasionally. In fact it happened this morning. "The only thing that works is to reboot the computer. Hope they fix this.

Good evening list; Marv here. First, running jaws 2018 and windows 10 bill 1709. I am having a problem with web pages not loading in google chrome from time to time. Jaws just says blank. If anyone has trouble like this and has found a solution, I would like to hear about it. I hope this message turns out; trying to use the built in windows mail app. Marv
