I was a Biblical Studies major in college.  The extra books David was talking about has nothing to do with the “Apocalypse”.  They are referred to as the Apocrypha by Protestants.

Catholics consider them deuterocanonical And include them in the Old Testament.

Some Protestant Bibles keep them but put them between the Old and New Testaments.

I’m summarizing an article I found on the web here:

The Roman Catholic Council of Trent declared in 1546 that the Deuterocanonical books were indeed divine.

Of these books, Tobias, Judith, the Wisdom of Solomon, Baruch, and Maccabees, remain in the Catholic Bible. First Esdras, Second Esdras, Epistle of Jeremiah, Susanna, Bel and the Dragon, Prayer of Manasseh, Prayer of Azariah, and Laodiceans are not today considered part of the Catholic apocrypha.

With one exception, all of these books are considered 'Old Testament'. The apocryphal New Testament 'Letter of Paul to the Laodiceans', was once incorporated in many versions of the Bible. However Laodiceans is now considered just a pastiche of other Epistles, and is omitted from contemporary Bibles.

David,

A tiny postscript or your always well-informed posts. What you say is correct about the New Testament. However, what the Catholic bible calls “The Apocalypse” is called “the book of revelations” in the Protestant version. Apparently, the text is the same.

Kevin,

As a Catholic I'm very familiar with the versions of the Bible to which you are referring. It contains seven additional books in the Old Testament which were eventually removed in most Protestant Bibles, along with some additional portions of Daniel and Esther. The New Testament is identical.

I haven't looked for downloadable software containing Catholic Bibles or study material although I know that it exists but am not sure how accessible they are.

The Bible Gateway does contain several Catholic editions, including the New American Bible, Revised Edition and the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition. Go to this page to set your preferences as to what edition you want as your default.

Paul,

The clipboard history command should allow you to navigate across items you've previously pasted into the clipboard. Navigating with right arrow, in most cases, should move from one item to the next and pressing enter should paste the item to which you're pointing.

Sometimes, these items may be spoken in an odd way.

However, since you're a JAWS user I'd recommend using the FS Clipboard to append items that you copy into the clipboard. The default hotkey to do this is insert-Windows-C but this can be changed in keyboard manager to something which may be a bit easier to press. Pressing this key appends what you've selected to what's already in the clipboard and then ctrl-V pastes the entire group of items.

But the question becomes, under what version of Windows?   WLM has been working fine all the way up through Version 1909 of Windows 10, but has begun falling apart with Version 2004.

If you're a Windows 10 user, the end of WLM is near.  And if you're not a Windows 10 user, you eventually will be if you have the slightest concern for your own cyber security and wish to stay in a Windows ecosystem.

Hi!

Every time I start my laptop, I get a pop-up notification that Intel wants to check for updates.  That pop-up happens too fast for me to get to it, or I otherwise just cannot get to it to say “yes.”  However, I can see the notification listed in the Action Center, but I cannot figure out how to activate it so as to say “yes”; meaning check for and install any needed updates.  How can I activate this notification?

I am using the latest versions of Windows 10 and JAWS.

Tom, I am still using it and for the most part, without any serious issues. Some weird little things crop up, like getting the error message that WLM has encountered a problem. But when I press okay, nothing happens and I can go right ahead with whatever I was doing. And believe me there are definitely issues with TB which are as bad or worse and some really annoying shortcomings in TB. The overall experience I have with WLM is still the best and I am running the newest release of Jaws 2020 and the latest build available to me of Win 10 2004.

Sadly I have to agree with this. I have loved WLM and am still using it part of the time, but find there are more and more hiccups along the way. So I also use Thunderbird and am gradually getting used to it, although I doubt I will ever enjoy it the way I have WLM. WLM does everything faster than any other client I have tried and it has, in the past done everything I ever wanted my email client to do simply but fully. I don't care for to-do list, calendars, etc. Since I am retired.

And it has some very handy features I can't find in others.

Now is the time to transition to a supported e-mail client of your choosing or webmail (and most webmail can now handle multiple accounts, and accounts that are outside of the webmail itself, e.g., Gmail webmail lets you set up yahoo.com, outlook.com, etc., accounts for reading inside their webmail interface).
