Your going to have to be very careful if you try this but I wouldn't be
surprised if even if jaws is uninstalled there will be registry keys left
over. In most cases that wouldn't matter but sometimes it could. Maybe you
need to go in and remove any left over fs keys then try. Just be very careful
though.

Re: Goldwave scripts

Mario

if the previous steps don't work, try the notes I tucked away to solve
this issue. they are specific for windows 10 users:'

have GoldWave closed when you do this just to be sure this works.
select and copy the scripts as directed in my previous reply.

tap the Windows key to bring up the search box,
arrow down a little ways into the list of apps and hit the letter j,
continue arrowing to Jaws 2018,
Hit the space bar.
Arrow down to utilities and hit enter.
Then arrow down to explore scripts.
You want the ENU folder, which is the English US assuming that is where
you are.
Once in that folder, you can check for the Goldwave script files.
If they are not there, just paste them into that folder and restart Jaws.
Now, all should be well.
start Goldwave and check if they are installed.

Yes. Under Control Panel, I believe the item is Default Programs. I don't have a Win7 machine to check at the moment, but there is definitely a control panel item for setting the Default Programs for specific file types.

I also believe that the "quick trick" that Sieghard mentioned also works under Windows 7, and it's much easier and faster.

users\yourname\appdata, and delete the freedom scientific components
from roaming and local ... or whatever those folders are. if you
don't remove those, there are still old JAWS settings that can get in
the way.

appdata is a hidden folder, so you have to go to c:\users\yourname\
and type in appdata.

Good luck!

                Hi,

I still use Ccleaner, and have no accessability issues with it, it works perfectly with jaws for me.

with one line view you can arrange the order of the columns and hide the ones you don't want to show.
like account, file size, priority etc.

Mario,

It does make a difference. I have never used auto line view, or if I have I've forgotten precisely how it works. One line view presents you with what most people are used to: date-time stamp, sender, subject, and a couple more fields. Two line will give you the same plus whatever can be displayed of the first line of the e-mail message; it's sort of a "micro preview."

It certainly won't hurt to try each just to see what you get when that view is in use. You can always switch back to whichever one you prefer.
