Re: Chrome and URL help

Morey Worthington

Hi Dean. As you suggested, I did get the URL copied to clipboard, then went into Pontes Media Downloader but as before that URL was already in edit field. So, I deleted the one which was there and installed into field. Clicked on download and it said improper URL, could not download.
I tried it on song...Runaway...Del Shannon aand went through same procedure and Media Downloader said invalid URL.
I just had a Windows 10 update yesterday, maybe some change in there?
Try doing the Runaway Song please, and maybe you can figure out how to get it to change to MP3...Thanks.

Hi. I am on the latest Jaws 2018 update and if I look at the Windows
update, it says one update ready to install, but no download or
restart button. I tried the touch cursor, but I get no different
result.

Anyone else seeing this one? very strange.

I am on build 579 of the 1709 version.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It will install and then either sit there and you can tell it to reboot or it will reboot during the night wnen you are not using the computer.
Human or not, sometimes it isn't worth to get all upset because your computer might reboot after an update by itself. Maybe if it did so while I was in the middle of a Skype call I would get upset, but it won't do that.

Yes, the OneDrive app is free. However, OneDrive is more of a service and the app without the service does you no good just as the Dropbox app without a Dropbox account won’t do anything.

You get I think a couple of gigs of free storage, but OneDrive really makes sense ifyou have an Officd 365 subscription since you get 1Tb of OneDrive storage with your office 365 subscription.

Re: Chrome and URL help

Dean Martineau <topdot@...>

Search for the song. Navigate the results by heading. Each heading is a link. Find the link you want, make sure the pc system cursor is focused on the link. You can place yourself on the link by pressing Tab and hearing the link you want. Now, press the application, context menu, key, or shift+f10 if you don't have one. Up arrow to Copy Link, or just press E. Now you have the link to the song on the clipboard. You could, for example, using Pontes Media Downloader, save the link to an MP3 or other audio formats.

Re: reverse contrast?

As a side note, ZoomText color enhancements include a number of high contrast options that fall broadly under the "inverse" universe, but that use something other than white for the text.

When possible, if all the client has had available is a straight black/white reversal, I like to sit with them and go through the various Color Enhancements as they often find that one of the ones available is much easier for them to see than a straight black/white reversal.

Hi, Brian. The alert only lasts for about five seconds. After that, there is no way to get to the alert. Unfortunately, you must listen carefully to what the alert says.

For example, If it says, Do you want Firefox to Save this password, the combo is ALT plus S.

If it says, Do you want Firefox to Allow the use of this plugin, the combo is ALT plus A.

If it says Do you want Firefox to Remember this location, the combo is ALT plus R.

The key words are Save, Allow, and Remember. If you hear one of these words, the combo is ALT plus the first letter of that Key Word.

Hi, Kevin. Did you find a way to turn of new mail alerts?

They’re under Outlook Options>Mail. Press ALT, F, T. Arrow down to Mail, and TAB over, several times. You should see a check box which says Desktop Alerts. If the check box is checked, uncheck it with the Space Bar. TAB to the OK button, and press ENTER.

Now the New Mail alerts should be off.
