Re: Google support phone number

Since there is no phone number in sight and they mention both email and chat support it would appear they are not keen on making a phone number available if it even exists.

If you can find one feel free to share it.

Hi, I was about to say something that someone else already stated but maybe please don't forget to perform the basic things that help to keep your computer operating the best it can. disk cleanup, and disk defragmenter, also don't forget to if you have windows defender to perform a complete scan of your system to make sure that you don't have any viruses. some times, you even might want to make sure that you delete you search history as well.

What should I do?
Do I need to send the machine back to the shop and get it fixed?

The technique I mention makes the result universal.  Some people may prefer to be able to toggle this, that's why I ask.  Mine are set to show all the time, everywhere.

many times the drivers do not re load properly from sleep mode
and windows can get pretty flaky if you never do a complete shut down at least once per day.

Hi, Michael. It sounds like you need to do something with your sound drivers in the computer. Either they got updated by mistake, and you need to roll them back to what they were before, or, you need to update them yourself if they weren’t updated.

Hi, Peter. Try CONTROL plus SHIFT plus D to save your bookmark. When I tried this, it allowed me to choose names and folders.

Subject: With FF64, Firefox is automatically bookmarking to the “Other Bookmarks” folder

Hello Group,

I recently noticed a change when I try to bookmark a web page. I have FireFox 64.0 after I forced an update from v52.

I used to use the ctrl plus d hot key,  modify the name and , then tab to the bookmarks folder list.

The default item on the list was “bookmarks”. Then I would tab and select the “done” button.

Now, when I use ctrl plus d and wait a few seconds, I hear:

   Alert, saved to library

The page is saved to the folder: “Other Bookmarks”.

Can I turn off the automatic saving to a library?

How can I change the default back to “Bookmarks”?

I would like to take my time to decide the folder and then select the “done” button.

Thanks,

Question About Sound Schemes

Dani Pagador

Hi, Everyone.
Using JFW2018 with Win10 and Word2016. I need to proof a document and
have changed to the Proofreading with Attributes and Fonts--can't
remember its name. The scheme only seems to work in SayAll mode. When
I read word by word or line by line, JFW doesn't announce things like
bold or italics. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Dani

How To Get File Extensions To Show In File Explorer

Tom Behler

Hello, again, everyone.

I am continuing to set up my new Windows 10 computer, and have discovered that file extensions are no longer read in file explorer.

I find this info to be very useful, and would appreciate if someone could tell me how to re-enable this feature.

I’m now using Jaws 2019 here.

Thanks!

I can't speak to Outlook Express, and would never, ever, suggest that anyone still use it.  It's been a security nightmare for years now.

WLM coasts along from Version to Version of Windows 10 just like any other program I have installed.  I don't know if it might be removed if one is updating from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10, but I'd suspect it might be.  I've always installed after Windows 10 was already in place and it has never been removed at a feature update.
