This is a known problem. I have reported it to Freedom Scientific, but had no acknowledgement from them.
I have had acknowledgement though from our UK distributor, Sight And Sound, who confirm it is a problem.
Meanwhile, I have to load NVDA every time I want to create a mailing.

Dear Listers:
I am using the latest update to JAWS 2018 and am also using Windows 10.
Ever since I downloaded the latest JAWS update I have not been able to address an envelope using MS Word. The version of Word I am using is Word 2010. Whenever I get into Word I first arrow over to the Mailings tab. When I find it I tab until I hear JAWS say, “Create an Envelope.” I hit the Enter key. The forwarding address dialog pops up. I enter the address. I tab once, but after the second tab I hear JAWS say, “MSO Generic Container.” JAWS will crash, and in order to get it to speak again I have to shut down and then boot up my computer all over again. I tried to address an envelope using an older version of JAWS and had no trouble at all. No “MSO Generic Container,” dialog at all. This leads me to wonder if it is a bug in JAWS’s latest update. I wonder what this dialog even means. Have any of you seen this dialog in MS Word? If so, what did you do about it?

List Rules - Sat, 9/1/18
#cal-notice
main@jfw.groups.io Calendar <noreply@...>
List Rules When: Description: http://groups.io/g/jfw/wiki/List-Policies
**List Policies** 1: Keep it clean. We're a family list, and there are people here who probably don't want to hear everything *exactly* that's running through your head. If you wouldn't see it on TV, it doesn't belong in a post to the list. If you're not sure, email the administration before you post it to the list. Otherwise, you stand to see your posts moderated. 2: Stay on topic. We're a JFW-oriented list. That said, anything related to JFW, its functionality with programs etc is acceptable. If it doesn't have to do with JFW, it doesn't belong on the list. This includes, but isn't limited to, talk of other screen readers such as Window Eyes. 3: Listen to, and respect, the wishes of the admins/moderators. If you're asked by an admin or moderator to drop a subject, or take something to private emails (in the instance of two people carrying on a thread list-wide), please do so. If the subject is changed on a thread by an admin or moderator, it will be explained why in the email sent out with it. Please don't continue replying to the old subject. 4: Don't ask over the list for a position on the list administration. If you'd like to help out, it's of course welcome, but address the request to do so to the admin team, otherwise it'll be ignored. Requests are always welcome, whether help is being looked for or not. When help is needed, a post will be made to the list. The requests already received will be kept in mind. 5: Keep flaming to a minimum. This is not limited to flaming of each other, but goes beyond that, to flaming of products, opinions, ideas, suggestions, etc. Constructive criticism never hurts. Flame wars, especially public ones, both drive people from this list and are unwelcome here. either take the problem to private emails, or report the problem to list administration. 6. Respect the opinions and views of others. This is *very* important in any environment, most especially an online environment where the only gage one has on a person is what that person puts to writing. If you come off as hostile in your posting, whether you intended to or not, people will take it as such. Online, "face value" means just that. People make mistakes, people don't always have access to the same information you do. For that matter, people don't always have the same experience you do. If you know how someone can solve their problem, great. Suggest it to them and/or the list. Do *not* proceed to tell someone, on or off list, that they have no business posting. Repeat offenders of this particular rule will be banned for a week to 30 days, depending on the severity. Serious problems will be banned permanently. As always, if there are problems or questions with regards these policies, don't hesitate to send them off-list to jfw+owner@groups.io James,

I don’t recall having a problem getting the secret code when I first set 1Password up, although my memory is rather short. For what it’s worth, from the Windows program, you can copy the code to the clipboard by going to Accounts, then arrow down to the name of your vault. Once in there, arrow down to where it shows part of your code. If you open that submenu, you can copy the code to the clipboard.
My only complaint about 1Passsword initially was that I had trouble finding clear documentation that explained how it works. The info is in the help section, but it took me a while to understand it.

So far I found 1Password less than accessible when it came to the getting started part. I was able to sign up for a trial of their family plan no problem, but once I had done this and logged in on myt laptop using Chrome I saw on the site that in order to set up the Windows app and other apps or log in on other computers you had to download what they called their emergency kit which contains a secret key you need for this. No matter what I tried I could not do so, then I asked one of my sighted employees and he said when you click on this link a pop-up appears with a download button. Once he clicked it a PDF downloaded in a second which contained the information needed. I will continue to give 1Password a good try for the next 4 weeks and hope I find it will work better now that it’s set up.

From: main@jfw.groups.io <main@jfw.groups.io> On Behalf Of Jerry Berrier via Groups.Io
I have found very few sites where it would not work. Another thing you can do is start logging into a website. When you get to the password field, assuming 1Password is not open already, go to the system tray and arrow down to 1Password. Hit enter. You should be given the option to generate a password. It generates it and puts it on the clipboard. You could then manually create a login record in 1Password and include the new password.

I just went to a site for the first time in Firefox. It asked for a user name and password. When I hit Log In, 1Password automatically opened and asked for my 1Password login. I entered that and then tabbed to save new login. If that’s not happening, it’s possible your browser extension is not working properly.

In Ourtlook for me it does almost the same, a say line also speaks the number of the message I am on, just now when I did a say line it read your message, sender, subject etc. and then at the end it said “13 of 15”. The only difference with Jaws+Tab is that is says “List box” before it starts speaking your name, the subject and all that.

hi, go to your desktop and hit the applications key. then go into properties then tab over to device manager. enter that tab once more hit "N" for network adaptors. see what cards you have installed. if you don't see "wi fi mini port adapter or something to do with dwxxx802.... depending on your computer." then try doing a "scan for hardware changes" that may bring up the missing devices. goodluck
