Let’s attempt to isolate the issue. The goal here is to determine if fire fox is compatible with the version of windows you are running.

You may need sided help here. Be my eyes would be a good tool to use.

Stop jaws and then start fire fox. If the issue persists you’re screwed. You’ll need to upgrade either windows and or jaws if you want to continue using the latest browsers which will run on windows.

1. Have you tested with the chrome browser to see if you get the same
behavior?

2. Have you tried installing a version of fire fox that was available before
February, when this issue first started occurring?

there is 3 different ways to get to the book mark list. each method
works differently.
there is control shift b, this one closes the list as soon as you
press escape. alt b. this one does not show all the bookmark links.
control i opens the entire list of links and you have the option to
search the entire list. it stays opened until you close it again with
control i.
but as i said both jaws and window eyes will hang when you open the
bookmark list unless you turn off the virtual cursor first. or browse
mode for window eyes.
also the virtual cursor will turn back on every time you leave the
bookmark list and will hang again when you press f6 to put focus back on
the list.

Hi Michael,

Use the shortcut to share word docs through outlook directly.
To do this, Once you have the file opened in Word that you want to share, use the commands from the word itself, and it will open up the a New Email with the word file attached to it.

To send the file as an attachment :  ALT + F + Z + E + A
To send the file as a pdf :  ALT + F + Z + E + F
To send the file as an XPS :  ALT + F + Z + E + X

Hope this helps

Hello, does anyone know if Audible.com discontinued the gold or platinum
membership plan? It seems that it is not listed on their website... I only
find the $14.95 per month or one other plan for $12 or so monthly. Of
course, there are no customer reps there at this time. Thank you

What I’m noticing is that Jaws gets very sluggish while in the calendar view of outlook 2016. My fan kicks on and in general, everything slows down.
This is it with an Ike or seven processor, 16 GB of RAM at an SSD. My specs are fine. This sluggishness/heavy processor usage for me only started after the March update.
I wrote Vispero about this and they say they can’t reproduce it. Anyway, just something to throw out there in case others are experiencing the same.

Hey all,

So I installed the latest version of JAWS on this laptop 2 days ago. It’s been running overnight now because I’m using it for work, and I’m noticing something odd. Usually JAWS occupies around 200 MB or so of RAM, tops. At the minute, it’s up around 4 GB of RAM. I mean, I have 16 so that’s not a huge issue, but that seems slightly odd. Anyone else having this problem? This is on Windows 10’s latest build.

Wow great thanks for those keystrokes, I would also like to get to the call history quicker, and also choose our chat spaces. In other words, if were out of the phone calling area, and into the video or audio chat I would like to know that quicker. Because they’re all kind of spread apart. Thank you for those hot keys. Maybe I can share some information with you on how to use it as well. So let me know if you are looking for something in particular on that question. One

We probably use the same UCX client.  I know some of the “helps” in it as I have played around in it.  The one thing I can’t figure out is how to answer a phone call.  If I am in the right place in the program when it rings, It sometimes works, but if I’m in another program on my computer, it doesn’t.  Our Help desk has contacted the company and scowered their web site, not found any hot keys that are consistent for using it.

When I was trained on it, the trainer didn’t know and didn’t seem very proactive about discovering them.  So, your idea is a good one.

Feel free to reach out privately to me if you’d like to talk about this further.  I’d also love to find good solutions, because we are also working from home using it.  My email is jredlichspeaks@...

Hello group, I just joined yesterday.

I am working from home for the next 4 weeks due to Covid19, and my laptop has the 3cx client on it, which is not very accessible.

I am looking at doing a course on writing JAWS scripts, as I already have a diploma in software development.

But I was wondering if there is something already out there to get me up and running now.

You guys,
I just cannot get google docs to work for me.
It won’t just read the text that is in my document. This is beyond frustrating as MS Word that I am used to, is refusing to open so really been trying to use google just for now at least to turn things in that are due immediately. But I just can’t get it to work. And emailing and responding back and forth, while helpful just isn’t working, I am just more frustrated than ever. If anyone is able to call and walk me through, I would sooo appreciate it!
I just don’t know what to do and I really need to edit and send in these documents...

moderated Jaws2020 and Windows10 Mail?

Gerardo Corripio <gera1027@...>

Gerardo (Gera) from Mexico saying hello, and am very loking forward to learning all I can about Jaws! It’s been years since I’ve used it! Thus I’m too trying to refresh myself on overall functioning of the screen reader. I’m trying out the 3-month license that FS put out a few days ago to help with the Covid19, and I’m very impressed how it works with Windows10 in general! I’m using Jaws versión 2020.2003.13.

However with Windows10 Mail it’s a disaster! When reading Emails, focus seems to loos itself! Having to with f6, go back to the Email itself! Also while typing Emails, I hear a constant buzzing sound, which I imagine it’s the spelling detection? How does one turn that off?

Thanks for any info; this is so frustrating!

Blessings,

Subject: scripts for 3CX soft phone client for windows

Hello group, I just joined yesterday.

I am working from home for the next 4 weeks due to Covid19, and my laptop has the 3cx client on it, which is not very accessible.

I am looking at doing a course on writing JAWS scripts, as I already have a diploma in software development.

But I was wondering if there is something already out there to get me up and running now.

If you have the ITunes article, I would love to see it or have a link to it, as I have never been able to use the app successfully.  Thank you.

Subject: Converting audio filesto MP3 using Itunes

Hello to all,

Thanks to those list members who responded to my recent post regarding converting audio files to MP format. A number of programs were recommended and I am in the process of reviewing 2-3 of these.

I realized after posting my message that my music library is in Itunes: a program that I can also use for file conversion. I have identified an article outlining the specific steps in the file conversion process. I would like to make sure that I complete this process correctly and successfully so would like to make contact with a person on this list who is familiar with this Itunes feature and review the steps with them in order to complete this process independently.

I would appreciate any assistance.

Best, Justin
