stopping chrome speaking remaining download time
paul lemm
hi,
wondering if anyone can help, I use chrome as my main web browser , but when I download files every minute or there about jaws updates me on the download progress, this isn’t a problem for small files, but if I want to download something that will take an hour or two constantly getting the download update gets a little annoying. Is there any setting I can alter to stop jaws constantly reading the download progress?

I have filled out the public beta form so I'm sure they're aware of this issue. ******************************************************************************************************************** This message may contain confidential information. Re: Adobe Reader issue
I agree, when I print my daily Z Report from my point of sale system using Microsoft Print to PDF the resulting PDF file used to have simple tables, e.g. the various tenders like Visa, Mastercard, Debit Card, Cash and so on in the left column and the amounts in the right and now when I open said PDF in Adobe it just reads "Visa $1,000.00" all in one line.

I can’t see a reason why this wouldn’t work, though I’m no technical expert. I’ve wanted to implement something like this, don’t feel able to invest in it at present, but think it is worth exploring and reporting the results. The concept has great potential.

Can anyone give me any thoughts on running Jaws with a Focus Blue 14 Braille display on a GDP Pocket2 small laptop. I will include the IndieGoGo link which has all of the specs at the end of my email.
I am running an ElBraille for note taking needs right now, but I find it to be slow using office 365, and I have a hard time performing windows updates with the 30GB hard drive on the ElBraille.
It looks like I would trade the convenience of having my Braille display docked in the ElBraille for a faster experience on the GDP Pocket2, and gain a mini keyboard and screen. The GDP Pocket2 is less expensive than the ElBraille as well.
I would appreciate any feedback from some of you who know more about processor speed and performance.
Here is a link to the GDP Pocket2 specs.

Thanks for input by all.
My question was really asking...Is there a keystroke for Jaws to tell me where on any webpage or document on which line I am sitting on? The only way I found so far is use the keystrokes..alt/deltte to give me the pixel position. Any other thoughts? Thanks, Morey Worthington

Sent: Wednesday, October 03, 2018 9:26 AM To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: Re: Accessible Time sheet System?
It all depends upon the company and how they record time. I have dealt with recording my time for several companies and organizations. Many require one to enter their time via a web application. Some will use a Word Document or Excel Spreadsheet. Most are generally accessible with the exception that web applications can be fairly complex with pulldowns which aren’t really coded for accessibility or are not Windows standard Controls. Other time-keeping applications are marginal.
Therefore, I don’t think one can apply a one-size fits all to time-keeping. It’s something where it’s helpful to provide a new employee with some initial training and to look to establishing place Markers or such to aid navigation. for more complex applications or similar.
Kind regards,
