Folders. Convenient if you have multiple accounts configured. I’ve got four inboxes and two different draft folders in my Outlook 2016 favorites section.

I am unable to move to the Favourites list in Outlook 2016 by using the Tab key. So, I have to use the CTRL+Y keystroke to move from folder to folder. But my brother can see the folder list on screen & move through it with a mouse.

Yes, m.Facebook.com works well. Plus, Facebook.com also works by putting you into m.Facebook.comh by default when you enter the URL into the Internet browsers text box.

they often change the web site so iti will not remain constant. But JAWS works well with this mobile site. Far less cluter and fewer bells and whistles but getting to the material you want to read is quicker and faster using the mobile site. You can use the normal Facebook site, but getting to spots you want to get to can take more time. Accessibility is not really the issue. I've been on Facebook since 2009. Larry

How do I activate the autocorrect actions button in MS Word 2016 with JAWS 2019?
Richard B. McDonald
Hi!
The subject of this email is my question. When I am editing my document, often I hear JAWS indicating that some autocorrect action has happened. There is some way to activate the autocorrect actions button so that I can accept it, reject it, edit this sort of autocorrect action going forward and so on.
Thanks, Richard

Re: How do I make the "pane" with the "resume reading" button go away in MS Word 2016?
Steve Matzura
Like anything else, the Windows Registry is no great mystery.
Make a backup of whatever you're about to change so you can change
it back if you have to. There's a free program called RegShot
which can help with this. It shows before and after snaps of the
Windows Registry when you make changes. You run the program, take
a before-changes snapshot, make your changes, take an
after-changes snapshot, and the changes are highlighted in a
separate window.

Mail for Windows 10 is despicable. There's no rhyme or reason to
the way the panes are laid out, sometimes pressing TAB takes you
one place, sometimes another, I have never gotten subject
threading to work properly, things move around of their own
accord, everything's just an accessibility hodgepodge. Reminds me
of Mac Mail, another attrocity. Everything's there, but try to
find things, and you get enmired and hopelessly lost as to where
you really are.

Footnotes Not Indicated When Navigating by Character in MS Word 2016 with JAWS 2019
Richard B. McDonald
Hi!
I noticed that with JAWS 2019 and MS Word 2016, a footnote is not indicated when navigating by character. It is only indicated when reading by paragraph, line or say-all. However, if you know where the footnote reference is *and if you select it*, then it is indicated. The indication is the footnote number, such as “footnote 16.” In earlier versions of Word and JAWS, a footnote would be indicated irrespective of the navigation or reading method. Presumably, this is likewise true for endnotes and comments as well.
This is a bit annoying because sometimes you want to know exactly where a footnote reference is. For example, generally its reference (e.g., “16”) ought to be just after the period at the end of a sentence without any spaces between the period and the footnote reference. Also, the text font of a footnote reference is superscript; so this ought not present a hard thing for JAWS to indicate. Irritatingly, if all you do is navigate by character to where you know the footnote reference is, but do not select that area, all JAWS says is “space”; which is false since you know that there is a superscript footnote reference there.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a solution for this? I have looked at the JAWS settings for this but did not find anything. Maybe I missed it.
Thanks, Richard

Yeah, I get it. You are right. Messing around with the registry is not something to monkey around with.

Hi Richard, I read the instructions the same as you. Given the sensitivity of the registry, I do not feel I should be giving advice here. But, I would call Microsoft Accessibility; 800-936-5900. I was hoping those instructions would just work. It looked like a good resource. I hope you can get a good solution. Later, Richard

While I agree that Windows 10 is better than Windows 8.1 that will definitely not be the issue. He doesn't mention which version of Firefox he uses, I would first see if this also happens with IE or Chrome.
