JAWS Tablet Compatibility
Kolby
Hello,
I am looking to purchase a tablet computer to replace my old iPad. I would like to use something that comes with a keyboard if possible but also am curious as to how people are finding using JAWS with tablets without keyboards. I would like to know which tablets work best with JAWS 2019 and what technical specifications I should be looking for the device to have for the fastest performance. Thank you, Kolby

Re: Protected files
David Goldfield <david.goldfield@...>
If you use Brian Hartgen's
Leasey program there is a slightly quicker way to unprotect a Word document. 1. From within the Word document press the Leasey key, which is usually the grave accent key.
2. Next, press shift-ctrl-U, which will unprotect the document if it is protected.

My experience has been that if the update doesn't install, I can download the full version from the web site and that install will work. I sometimes get a message telling me to run a JAWS repair when the update doesn't work. I have done that, but it doesn't help. So I just go download the whole stinkin' thing.

Cannot Edit text within a Cell Using JAWS 2019 and MS Excel 2016
Richard B. McDonald
Hi!
In Excel 2016 using JAWS 2019, if I am on a cell with text in it I used to be able in earlier versions of Excel and JAWS to press F2 and navigate and edit such text like if I were in a normal text document, such as MS Word. Now, with JAWS 2019 and Excel 2016 when I try this nothing seems to happen. It seems like I do not go into edit mode.
I have checked the Excel option to allow editing directly within a cell. Likewise, I have unchecked the Excel option to auto complete formulas.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there some solution?
Thanks, Richard
