I believe it can be done, but apple’s not gonna make it easy for you to convert the files to an open/accessible format like mp3. Those files are suppsoed to be protected. I’ve seen a couple of pages that show you ways to do this but they all involve some ridiculous steps that seem excessive/time-consuming/overly complicated.

What I would do is either: simplyb urn an udio cd, if you can, or, maybe, play the songs througha nd use a programme to capture the output. Ou could do this with most any digital audio editor. You might lose some quality when converting to mp3, but should be fairly reasonable so long as you use a high bitrate like 320.

Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question.

I am making a Christmas compact disc to send to family and friends.

I had a playlist in iTunes. Then I downloaded it on my PC.

Now the files are in m4p files. I need to conver them into Mp3 to be able to burn the compact disc.

Does anyone know of an easy program to do this?

Thanks,

Jeff Lukacsena

Would anyone here have any updates or information, as too whether or not, The tandem issue that jaws was experiencing has gotten resolved?  I’m asking, because I may need them too do a tandem session on my computer, too   address a serial number license conflict issue  between my computer, and the Jaws  serial number  that was issued too the one that they gave my girlfriend.  We both have the yearly license, but their seems too be a mix up.

I confirm this to be true. However, pressing Shift F10 or the Applications key does work.

I now have the link to the Brian Hartgen course, and have joined the ElBraille e-mail list.

So, I think I’m set for the time being.

Hopefully, things will continue to work out regarding my possible ElBraille acquisition.

Hi Tom,

Brian Hartgen produced an excellent tutorial for the elBraille. It can be purchased at Hartgen.org. Good luck. Between this and the Users list, this should give you a great start in learning the unit.

Best,

Les

Question About 2022

clarence carter

I ran into a problem with JAWS hanging up. It would not speak at the desktop, and I could not get it to re-start.

I then did a JAWS repair. So far, I am OK. I just wonder if anybody had the same issue.

Windows 10 latest update

JAWS 2022 latest update

PS

I also noticed that it would get hung up when in Outlook 16.

What changes might I make to resolve this issue?

There may be other lists, but the braille-display-users list would be worth a subscription.

My understanding is that besides several custom applications written for the ElBraille, it's just a Windows 10 Home system running JAWS as the screen reader. The braille-related sections of the JAWS help topics would be an important reference - especially the various braille keyboard operations for entering JAWS commands and simulating Windows keystrokes.

These are all documented extensively in the JAWS help system.

Hi, Jeff. As Tom says, you can burn your files to disc using iTunes, but I don't know if someone else can play them. m4p files are protected. That's what the p in m4p stands for, Protected.
