Re: How do I enable high priority on an individual message?

Milton Ota

Hi,

Before you send the message, while still in the body of the message, press your Alt key and you should be on Message Tab.

From there, Tab until you get to Options Tab and press Enter.

You should then land on Themes and Tab once and you should be on Tracking, Press enter and you should land on the option to change from Normal to Low or High, depending on what priority you want to send the message.

You can then shift tab once and close the menu.

HTH.

Hello Sameer,

I do appreciate your support regarding this issue. unfortunately, i already tried these scripts but still facing problems while using them. the scripts are not very accessible even its hard to use whatsapp with those scripts. they also wont load messages on run time. for example. if your chatting with anyone on whatsapp using these scripts you will face delay in update messages and you wont reply with timely manners.

best,

Hello everyone! in this article  I will  speak a little about accessibility and usability, specificly on Whatsapp Web, and sharing a script, users of screen
reader, can work on   Whatsapp by the computer with more autonomy, practicality and confidence.

The informations about the script and its installation are bellow: :

To use the scripts, it is necessary to have the extension Tampermonkey for your browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Microsoft Edge ou Safari).
After that, just access the script, which will be recognized by Tampermonkey, and click on install.

WhatsappWebWithMoreAccessibility

After installing the script for Whatsapp Web, WhatsappWebWithMoreAccessibility, when accessing the app, you must wait for the application to load and then
use the shortcut ALT + S. If the script is deactivated, the message: Script activated successfully will be displayed; if the script is already activated,
an alert will be given with the message Script disabled. When you deactivate it, all elements and shortcuts created by it will be removed, except the activation
and deactivation shortcut.

Added elements and labels

With WhatsappWebWithMoreAccessibility enabled, the following modifications will be applied:
• Before the panel with the chat list there will be a level 1 header H1 to facilitate navigation via the screen reader, by pressing the 'h' key or the
number '1' in the navigation mode;
• After opening a chat, at the beginning of the contact / group area there will be a level 2 H2
header, with the label "Active chat + CONTACT / GROUP NAME", which can be accessed by pressing the 'h' key or number 2 in browse mode;
• The emogi buttons will be labeled above the message writing field in the footer;
• After the message writing field, there will be a button with the label "Record voice message" if the text field is clear, or "Send text message" if it
is filled;
• When you click on the "Record Voice Message" button, a "Cancel recording" button, the recording time and another button with the label "Send voice message"
will appear below the message field;

Shortcut keys

After enabling WhatsappWebWithMoreAccessibility, the following shortcut keys are available:
• ALT + a: focus on the options for choosing the type of attachment to be sent in the active chat;
• ALT + B: focus on the search field and label it as "Search chat and contacts ...";
• ALT + C: focus on the chat list;
• ALT + E: puts the focus on the message writing field and labels it "Write a message (name of the active chat)";
• ALT + L: opens an options box to select the language of the script (Portuguese, English or Spanish), after pressing the 'enter' key in the desired option,
the script messages will be in that language;
• ALT + M: puts the focus on the message list of the active chat;
• ALT + S: activate and deactivate the script;
• ALT + T: speak the title of the active chat.
NOTE: sometimes NVDA does not go into focus mode automatically when using shortcuts, so you may need to put it in focus mode with the shortcut NVDA + space
bar. Other keys can be configured as the NVDA key, but by default it is 'Insert'.

I can't run JAWS

Ibrahim Ajayi

Hi good people:
I'm finding it impossible to run JAWS on my Windows110 computer.
I downloaded and installed the latest version, which is the 2021
relase, and I opted to run it in 40 minute mode, because I cannot
afford thelicense for now.
I did go to the options menu, and under basic, I set it to start
automatically, and to always.
But each time I start my computer, it doesn't start. Instead, I am
alwayspresented wih a wellcome screen, telling me to press enter
andreboot my computer to run in 40 minute mode.
Why isthis happening when I have already done all thesettings. I have
t use an alternative screen reader to access the computer.
Added to tht, JAWS also taks a toll on my mobile data. I don't
understand why this is happening.
So thquestion now is: can this problem be fixed? if it can, thn how.
Hope to get some help.
Kind regards.

Re: How do I turn on the BCC field in outlook.

I think the easiest way is to use, Alt+p  followed by B, from within a new message.

Using this the change is immediate in the new message.

If you are still not able to see a BCC field when tabbing through the to & past the CC fields, do this.

Open a new message use, Alt+P, nowArrowLeft until you hear BCC field, checked means it is showing. pressing enter here will check or uncheck the BCC option.

Hi, Albert. Try this instead, to cause the BCC field to be shown,

1. Open Outlook.

2. Open a new message which you would send to someone.

3. Press ALT plus the letter P, followed by the letter B.

4. Close the message you were going to send without sending it.

5. Open a new message to send to someone, and navigate through the to, CC and Subject fields.

6. Just before the Subject field, do you now see a BCC field? If so, it's fixed, and it will always show, until you reverse the action with ALT plus P, followed by B again.

Once it's been turned on, it will remain "turned on" and always show up in the compose window unless you reverse the process.

I found another way.

After opening a new message with control n.

Hit alt and arrow right to past help.  A edit box will open.

Type in add bcc field and hit enter.

Good afternoon everyone,

How would I go about turning on the BCC field using Outlook? I’m running windows 10 office 365, and outlook.

Thanks in advance,

Al   I’m not sure just what version of outlook that I’m using, but its with office 365

Hi,
It is a checkbox that you can enter on in the view menu, which is only there inside a new message, because you cannot have that option unless you are composing a message.

Re: OT Roku Express

Hi,
I found that info too, but when it wasn't working for me, I had to use the BE My Eyes app on my iPhone, and it was in the language menu, so that key four times wouldn't work until I selected a language.
Thanks.

Audio Guide can be turned on or off by pressing the Options button on the Roku remote four times consecutively. The Options button is located just below the directional pad and at the right hand side of the Roku remote.

Hi Group,

Does anyone know how to bring up the speech on a Roku Express?

Thanks.

BINGO!

It's teams. I removed teams, restarted, and Outlook is working great. Control 3 works just like it should. I switched back and forth between Inbox, contacts, calendar, contacts, etc., several times without any issues. I am also only having to hit the enter key once to change folders.

Now, I have to reinstall teams, but at least I know why Outlook is acting funny.
