Re: Admin: Mail may still be delayed for some.
James, Your opt-out unsubscribe process is not working. Instead, please send out an email asking who would like to subscribe in future (opt-in), clear out your subscriber database, and only add back in those who ask to be added. I'm marking all these emails as spam but because incoming messages come from many different users, even marking them as spam isn't working. Your maillist is acting like a spambot and you're not recognizing the impact you're having on others. Rocky On Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 11:10, James Homuth <james@the-jdh.com> wrote: All,

Which of the proof reading schema announces capitalization as you've stated?

Re: invoking proof reading schema in Jaws 12?
Marquette, Ed <Ed.Marquette@...>
Hamid: Once you press the Voice Scheme key, Insert plus Alt plus S, either arrow down or press the letter "P". This will bring you to the first of the three proofreading schemes. I typically use "font and attributes," because in legal documents, I want to know what is in bold, what is underlined, and whether the font has changed. This one announces "Cap" and "Solid Caps" respectively to take the ambiguity out of determining the state of capitalization. I have not tried the other proofreading schemes, but I would be surprised if they treat capitalization any differently.

The Proof Reading scheme is one of several factory-created voice schemes. Proof Reading can be helpful. The voice changes with different attributes, e.g., bold, italics, underlining. It also enunciates capitalization in a more precise way than does the classic (default) voice scheme. In other words, it says "Cap" prior to a word with an initial capital letter and "Solid Caps" for a word in solid capital letters.

-----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounces@lists.the-jdh.com [mailto:jfw-bounces@lists.the-jdh.com] On Behalf Of Hamid Hamraz Sent: Thursday, June 30, 2011 3:29 PM To: The Jaws for Windows support list. Hi, I suppose this is as good a time as any to ask this. I have a new HP Notebook on the way with W7 64 bit and I will run Office 2007. Now, were you I would you load the most current version of Jaws 11 or take the chance and go for JAWS 12 latest version? From all I have seen it sure seems to me that we got ripped off with 12. Hopefully 13 will finally fix the JAWS 12 problems and not create a myriad of new ones. Cy

Off hand, I can't recall a more problematic JFW rollout than version 12 and all its subsequent updates. The patches to fix this or that issue and not to mention the over all performance issues some of which have somewhat been addressed, but others are still waiting to get fixed.
I'm downloading the update out of habit, but considering that there's not much addressed here, I'm not sure I'm going to bother installing it. I'll maybe give it a shot to see if by any chance over all performance is better then those other v12 editions from earlier in the year.

Has anyone else been inadvertently unsubscribed?!
Mike & Barbara In Arcadia <mb69mach1@...>
Hi All, I had not received any email from the list for about 3 days. Sending messages to the moderators didn't bring any results & I am just wondering if others were having the same problems. Please, understand that I am not trying to bash the moderators but, just trying to understand how I, & possibly others, became unsubscribed. I have sent 2 questions to the list during this period and received messages back stating that I was being moderated. That's what prompted me to write to the moderators. Anyway, as stated earlier, I am by no means trying to bash or portray any feelings of ill will just, wanting to see if anyone else is having problems. Since re-subscribing, it seems that things are back in order. Take care. Mike -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Folks, The situation that brought about the second migration was beyond my control. That said, the migration in question is going to have its issues. Complaining about those issues on-list, and complaining about the complainers, is not going to fix those issues any faster. Now. As I learn of people having issues, they are being delt with. If I don't know about your issue, I can't fix it. Therefore, rather than complain about it on-list, send myself or Jessica an email privately and we'll have it delt with. This is not a competition to see who can fill who's mailbox faster. It stops here. As of now, if it doesn't come to me personally, I'm going to assume there's no issue and it won't get looked at.
