Hi,
I suppose this is as good a time as any to ask this. I have a new HP Notebook on the way with W7 64 bit and I will run Office 2007. Now, were you I would you load the most current version of Jaws 11 or take the chance and go for JAWS 12 latest version? From all I have seen it sure seems to me that we got ripped off with 12.Hopefully 13 will finally fix the JAWS 12 problems and not create a myriad of new ones. Eric from FS wrote to teh list earlier explainign the Sports score issue. It

appears to be an issue with ESPN's disceminating the information. He suggested we write to ESPN directly to try to get their help to restore this function. It seems kind of a hastle to have to download and go through the whole install process for such minor patches. I guess if you're someone who is inconvenienced by the problems noted below it would of course make sense, but from what I saw, there's really not much in the update that addresses the various issues I and others on the lists have been experiencing. Sluggishness, crashes, Excel, etc. Software in general seems to be speeding up along with all the cloud based stuff, I'm curious to see how well FS's going to be able to keep up as well. Patches every month? Who knows. Anyway, that’s probably a discussion for another day...

I have had my share of troubles with JAWS, over the years.
But I have to say, I am not having near the trouble some of you all are talking about with version 12. I installed the latest update this morning, it seems to work just great. I don't know all the specifics of what was changed. But my navigation is mostly all good. The responsiveness is good. On my Windows 7 Home Premium Dell desktop, outside of my still going bonkers when I try to get deep into the ribbon nightmares, the recent version of JAWS seems to be working quite well. Some of you I am sure are not making it up, the things you are describing. But I just thought I would put in my 2 cents, lest everyone get all hepped up and a scared of 12. Thanks. Rik
