It does that for me in most instances, too. Not when I’m in Word. In Word, if I’m in an empty document, and I press INS plus DELETE, JAWS says:
line -1 column -1

Also, you don't select anything, as sorting for bookmarks within a folder is an all or nothing affair - either you want 'em all sorted or you want to leave them in whatever order

But, Dave, you can (within each folder, or by the folder names themselves - though I don't do the latter).
If you have one of your folders open, Shift+Tab your way back to the Organize Bookmarks menu

I don't use WMP, but I'd imagine you'd have to set WPM to automatically
rip the tracks upon inserting the CD. I don't know how to do this in
WMP. sorry.
