Mario,
Nope. Nothing was missed or cut off. It was a three-word reply with
appropriate punctuation.

David,
I don't think anyone suggested using Alt F4 and the JAWS key. Alt F4 closes a program. JAWS key F4 closes JAWS. For thos of us with laptops where the F4 key is set to a media key by

Re: Unable to quit JAWS using Insert+F4
I understand that running JAWS from the systray uses less RAM and is a
tad quicker to respond to commands. and I guess it's mostely a matter of
preference.

Hello surendra:
As far as I know, the only way to change the behaviour of the function keys for an HP Laptop, is to have someone with vision go into the BIOS and make the change. If your friend

The insert key has also been called the JAWS key or NVDA key. Thus we are talking about the same key strokes here. Smile.

Re: Unable to quit JAWS using Insert+F4
why do you need to use, jaws/insert key+alt+f4,
you should be able to use insert+f4 to unload jaws.
this is true whether you use a wireless or not.
The impossible is the untried, Never under

JAWS Freezes When Hyperlinking in Word
Hi,
I use JAWS 2018. I have Word 10 as well as 16. JAWS simply freezes
whenever I press control+k and start hyperlinking. In word 16, it
still manages to remain afloat and you can turn it back on,

Re: Unable to quit JAWS using Insert+F4
A wireless keyboard won't solve the issue if your laptop uses the function keys as media keys. If that is the case by default then the function keys on the wireless keyboard will mimic this behaviour.

Re: Unable to quit JAWS using Insert+F4
If this is the case I wonder why "Run from system tray" is not checked by default if you install Jaws on a new system.
It is always one of the first things I do either manually or in the setup wizard

I do it the old fashion way. Use a wireless keyboard This way I have the 6 pack of keys and just use the insert or JAWS key with Alt. F4, to close JAWS

I finally took a look at the html on the site. One of the things a developer should do is test their web site on more than one browser. Plus they should have individuals with different disabilities
