Re: IE 11 browser problem
There's no newer version of IE. So even if your Firefox or Chrome is older then use them if it works.

Re: Jaws does not read the content of screen using jaws cursor.
Hi, if this doesn’t work you can also try running Josh 17 or 16 I found that a lot of times they’ll still work on their windows 10 with the older programs were the newer jaws versions don’t see

Hi All,
This feature has only been in Jaws since Jaws 2018. Not to create an argument, but only to save people using Jaws versions older than J2018 time or the hassle of searching for this

That is an extremely useful piece of information, not readily available, which might help me in these situations of no JAWS cursor. I just figured it was hopeless!

Yes, the accessibility driver is the one.
If you don't want to run a repair then maybe a Jaws reinstall is in order or a call to FS tech support so they can take a look why this may not be there for

This functionality has been there for several versions of Jaws. Vispero is not making a big deal of this because for most users Jaws currently works equally well with or without the accessibility

There is a nice and easy way to deal with bookmarks in Chrome, favorites in IE, etc. Personally, I think that accessing and managing bookmarks in Chrome in Firefox is very clunky. By

Re: command line to enforce jaws restart
I guess it keeps coming up because people are jumping into the thread late. By this point OP's question has been sufficiently answered using the taskkill command.

Yeah, I agree with you, Steve, but last I checked there are some work/business/etc type environments where they only allow the use of the IE browser to this day, so while that may be gradually

Re: command line to enforce jaws restart
It won’t work if you have a version of JAWS older than 2018, I believe (or maybe it’s 18, but I don’t recall it working there). It’s also not totally reliable since if JAWS process is already

True, but as others said, Jaws Key + Windows + F4 will kill Jaws and reload it although apparently some people say this doesn’t work for them, it does work for me.

I assume because you then need a second keystroke to restart it. I believe the object is to stop and restart JAWS with one action.
All the best

Hi Dean,
Try running JAWS with the command line option “/?”, without the quotes. It should give all the JAWS command line options then.
